@cboye18: While I do agree that the game is horrible, it is quite unnecessary and disrespectful to associate a mal-functioning product to a human characteristic such as down syndrome.
If you are a journalist, you need to base your opinion on what the game aims for and how well it achieves it.
Not if you personally enjoy it despite not being what the creators wanted to be.
You can base opinions by seeing the potential, but can't base a review on it.
Objectivelly, the story is filled with bad dialog, the worlds are empty, characters lack personality, animations are horrible, sidequests are filler.
The game is not what it set out to be. Sure, some fun can be had with it... But just as a bad slasher movie, you may like it, but still critics should note its not oscar material.
I know a 7 and 8, even a 6 doesn't mean mediocre...
But in this game's case, it does mean mediocre. Not good, not bad... just mediocre.
My guess is this game will die in a few months
Those scores overall feel higher than the review themselves seems to think, and if you take into account the amount of good games out there now and the fact that (different from most reviewers) people have to pay for it, it will die soon.
And it's a shame. Andromeda could have been amazing.
