So last night I am fraggin online with Modern Warfare 2 and suddenly my screen turns all glitchy (like when a TV station loses signal and it has all the colors on the screen except this one was like brown and black. Then my PS3 turns off. Now it won't turn on. I press the on button, it turns green for a second, then it goes yellow for a second, then turns off and stays blinking red.

So...I am assuming my system overheated and bricked, yes? I can just go buy a new one but I have a few problems.

One. My Call of Duty is still inside. I want it out. Even if I just hit eject nothing comes out.

Two. I have a 250GB HDD and I would like to put it into my new PS3. Do I have to format it? Will I lose all my data? I am wondering if I can just put it in and skip the formatting thus keeping all my data.

Three. Instead of buying a new slim should I just repair this one? Do you know how much that will cost? Im out of warranty this console was an orginal launch (PS2 compatible). If so will they return the game to me? Will they delete my memory?

If you can anser any or all of these questions that would be of help.

It's already 4 years old. I don't think sony will fix it.

So Dead Space (awesome game) was developed by Redwood shores. Dead Space 2 and Dante's Inferno is being developed by Visceral Games or whatever. Am I correct in saying that these two developers are one in the same? Did Redwood Shores downsize or merge and change its name to Visceral?

You won't however be able to just put the old HDD in the PS3 slim. I tried that and the slim will format the drive. So you lose everything. Try to connect the old HDD to a PC and rescue your save files. Maybe you knew this already.

So my PS3 seems to have bricked last night...sigh I have an original 60GB console with PS2 backwards compatibility. I equipped this sexy machine with a 250GB hard drive, So now if I have to get a slim, will I be able to swap out the HDD like I did with the original PS3? God I hope so.

I dont know if you Beta guys have suffered throught this but the updates for MAG are extremely long. Im going to have to go to sleep and leave my PS3 on all night
