What is the best or COMPUTER in the WORLD?henri1960

IBM's BlueGene/L was the fastest.

You could proably build it for $100,000,000 or so!

Same here. Its what got me into PC gaming. My friend bought it and it wouldn't work on his PC so we tried it on mine and I never left the PC for about a week.

GTA IV definetley. Much, much longer lifespan for singleplayer and I prefer non-linear games.

The Halo franchise has got to be one of the most over-rated in modern gaming histroy. Don't get me wrong, Halo was a damn good game and Halo 2 improved on it a little but if you ever played FPS's on a PC before Halo came out then Halo seemed a lot less revolutionary then it was supposed to be.

Overclockers.co.uk would be the closest (ie. most popular). There are loads of others though.

These are the ones I've used -

Aria PC

dabs.com

Micro Direct

ebuyer.com

Overclock.co.uk

Maplin

Scan Computers

Komplett.co.uk

Misco

if you already have a 360...NO
If you Don't....YES.

Yeh its definetley not worth it if you already have a 360. 20GBs is more than enough for all your game data, 5-10 demos and quite a few CDs worth of music. And if your TV has decent VGA support then you can just buy the VGA cable as an alternative to HDMI since it can be very hard to tell the difference.

If you are planning on getting a 360 though then you may as well spend a little more and get the elite.

Use your VGA cable with the Dell and set your 360 to 1920x1080 (1080p). That will give you the best image.

As for speakers, the official VGA cable comes with an adapter so you can use your PC speakers.

I like it. Its a great concept and does get quite addictive later on. Oblivion with AKs, what could be better?

It does have quite a few flaws though like the fact that enemies can take a full clip early on in the game annoyed me a bit. I can't wait to see a decent realism mod.

well i was thinking of this one when it comes out is it good?The_One_White

Thats a very nice monitor. Passes all the tests. Very low response time, high contrast ratio, good resolution etc. I was thinking about getting one of those myself after hearing some amazing reviews of it.

Response time 8ms or lower. Contrast ratio 700:1 or higher.

Resolution depends on the size of the screen and whever you want widescreen or not. The most popular size at the moment seems to be 19". A non-widescreen 19" screen (5:4) usually have a resolution of 1280x1024. 19" widescreens (16:10) are usually 1440x900. Both these resolutions can be classed as HD if you go of the TV standard of anything above 720p (1280x720) is HD. The bigger the size of the monitor the higher the resolution will get.
