lol, i agree with this article 100%. I STILL haven't beaten the game yet, i feel like beyond memories of the previous games there isn't anything really driving me to finish it. I don't see how anybody could wrap their head around liara being the shadow broker if they hadn't played the DLC, and Vega still doesn't make any sense to me and still haven't gotten any backstory as to why i know the guy. The whole thing with the kid is contrived and doesn't even fit my renegade at all. I've blown up bases, killed millions in the name of war, why am i worried about some dumb kid who would rather run into an air vent then ride along with the guys with the guns to protect him? lmao. Multi player is really fun however, though it doesn't really feel like it belongs.
Well as far as the gay bashing is concerned, EA did it to themselves. They pretty much tried to gear the direction of the series towards "dude-bro" gamers who play COD and Gears solely, and even went so far as to allow them take out the core mechanic that makes it a bioware game, choice. Did you really expect this to draw the attention of more mature socially conscious gamers? You cannot make everyone happy, best bet is to focus on making a great game rather than tweaking and unfortunately downgrading a great game in order to appease shooter fans. I'm 20 hours in, it would take to long to explain every gripe i have with the game, but even so it's still a great game, if not as great as the previous one. Side missions have no player engagement, and finding their objectives is tedious. Choice in conversations has been pulled back a lot, you used to get a choice after every response now you may get one choice and a 5 minute cut scene of dialog with your character saying things you wouldn't choose. However, the combat is greatly improved, the story and characters are still engaging (if not as much as 2) and you still get a enough choice to feel like your creating your own game. Haven't finished yet, but even with all my complaints i still enjoy the game more than most others.
It only makes sense if it is applicable to the character personalities. Which most of them from the previous games don't. The whole "relationship" aspect of these games is pretty much done (IMO) in a pretty humorous way anyway though. It's not really a big factor to the game's story or gameplay. If they want to do it seriously, they should have an option to chose your sexual preference while your creating your bio in the first place. I'd find it really odd to see a dialog option like that with garrus with my male renegade shepard, it wouldn't even make sense and would just look awkward on the screen at all.
Seen it happen to less notable people all the time, sucks but it's the dangers of internet "fame". If you want to avoid it, avoid it all together cause you'll always be surrounded by gangs of immature trolls. As far as the original comment, why would anybody have a problem with the OPTION, it's just opening the game up to more people. If you OPT out of it then it doesn't affect your game play experience while possibly enriching somebody else's.
Free country aint it? If it was posted as a legit review from a journalist maybe, but it's a "user" review. 50% of user reviews come out months before the game by fanboys who probably won't even play it, or just out for a friendly troll
He was just an up tight douche bag. Which is what made him a compelling character to me honestly. He had an unlikable personality from the start, but also had a strict moral code(possibly too strict from his time in the war). One of those pushy uptight people that try to force their opinion on others, which made his charisma seem rather forced (and why most people in the game don't like him either lol)
