@meatz666 lol THANK YOU. Dmc has always had really bad storylines/ dialogue. If you disagree, then your probably still prepubescent. Also, everyone keeps saying this one is so much easier , but the only challenging dmc was 3. 4 had an extensive combat system, but that doesn't make the game hard.

@JustPlainLucas

This movie should start at the 15th guardian. It would take A LOT of money to propperly portray the beauty of the games world, so the less guardians you have to animate the better the ones that you do will look. Also, if you start at the 15th battle, the audience is left wonder what is going on. Just as the gamer through out the game is left wondering why your tasked with killing these seemingly innocent creatures. shortening the area that your covering would help the movie to be more focused.

lol i could fucking make this movie....my mind is racing with ideas. I feel like its gonna end up sucking though =/

@zackcurl Movies are also interpreted differently by their audiences as well. Take for instance Donnie Darko. Everyone gets a different meaning from that movie and what it was trying to convey. I don't think its the fact that games can't translate into a good movie; there just hasn't been true passion behind any projects yet. If the cohen brothers were to decide to make a movie into a game, you would know that they are trying to convey something that they felt in that game, through their chosen art form. Instead, its usually big studios slapping directors to random projects that they feel they can cash in on. big difference.

And yeah i do agree with you whole heartily on the uncharted movie. If i wanted to watch Uncharted instead of play it, i'd put in Indiana Jones, or the 20 other movies that it ripped off. It almost angers me how pointless that movie is going to be.

@Megavideogamer if the same actor does a commercial for hemroids, sony couldn't make a case against it because there would be no reason to assume that he's "executive butler" with hemroids. but, that guy playing a nintendo console, then looking surprised when someone walks in on him playing, as if he's been caught doing something he's not suppose to, leads people to believe that he is representing something that sony owns.....THE BUTLER

this lawsuit isn't dumb at all, and sony has a good chance of winning it. just because the actor doesn't have a name tag that says "executive butler" on it, doesn't mean that he's not suppose to be representing him. why else would they pick him specifically to play the wii console? the courts are going to look at the intent of his presence, which is pretty fucking obvious.

if duncan doughnuts has a commercial where master cheif is shotgunning a small italian plumber with a mustache, in the face, i'm pretty sure nintendo would have a problem with that.

yeah, that analogy was kinda weak, but you get the point

Like previous comments have stated, the only reason hybrids are becoming the staple is due to needing to have mass appeal. Most players like things that look cool, as opposed to play well. That's why god of war sells more than ninja gaiden (ignoring ninja gaiden 3). I feel that the industry is ready for a new ninja stealth game where you truly feel more powerful being undetected. Tenchu was great for its time, but the newer incarnations of it suck.

lol at the people trying to sound smarter than what they actually are...quantum leaps are when electrons instantaneously move from one point to another. So when he says that next gen will be a quantum leap forward, hes not saying its a large leap, hes saying that there hasn't been a consistent progression, due to the long life cycle this current generation has had. This is something that many other developers/ ceos/ publishers/ etc have been saying for awhile. lol at the irony of my own statement....

I don't see the point of having a uncharted movie. The games are suppose to be like your in control of a movie, right? The stories in the games are the farthest thing from original, but we are okay with their complete lack of originality and generic dialogue because they are supposed to be "movie like". Unless this movie is going to be satirical, mocking the fact that its a movie, based off a video game, that's based off of other movies, its going to be super generic and a waste of time.
