As for what tomlee129 said, most of it is not true. Sure you have to have another peripheral but it is cheaper than any hd-dvd player out there. Plus, the 5GB/s cable he speaks of only connects the xbox to the tv and sends the decoded info to the tv. However this is after the xbox has decoded the dvd files. The amount of data actually coming off the disk is no where near that amount, and can easily be transfered on a usb cable. Think about it, a 25GB hd-dvd at 5GB/s would be a five second movie. Plus, you really can't fault microsoft for not including a hd-dvd player, the xbox 360 was released a full year before this technology came about.
