The story for Resistance 1 will keep you playing through the game to find out what happens next. As you said, it is not MGS4 story quality, but its a very interesting take for the decade the game takes place in. Hale is a very likable character as well as the rest of the main cast once you get used to them, and the story of infection ties in with the gameplay pretty well. The ending might dissapoint you, but it will leave you wondering as it sets you up for Resistance 2.

As for the online portion, it definitely has my recomendation despite its lack of vehicles. Even with a full game of 40 people you'll be hard pressed to find any lag or slow-downs. Using the unique weapons on other people is always fun, though I'm not sure how many people are online nowadays. Bottom line, Resistance 1 is money well spent, especially the Greatest Hits Edition.

Uncharted

Around the time trophies came out, a few of my friends said that achievements and trophies are basically a waste. So now I'm curious as to how much trophies matter to you?

I think its a cool feature, not absolutely neccesary but a great visual representation of a gamer. I can't wait to try it out with Uncharted.

Am I the only person who preferred the original Jak and Daxter? Frankly, I didn't care for the direction the series took after that. Jak II felt like it was just jumping on the GTA bandwagon.

No, you are not alone. I had some great memories with the original Jak and Daxter. I honestly think its one of the best (if not THE best) platformers I've ever played for the PS2. The game had a nice challenge level with a combat system that never made you feel over powered since you were relying on eco and your natural abilities most of the time. Eco also had a more mystical feel in that you were traveling in a less advanced world unlike in later games in the series. I still remember the awesomeness of when Jak touched Light Eco for the first time:P. Jak as an innocent mute was also interesting since he let Daxter say all the words for him (as well as the the witty phrases after Jak dies, man I miss that). The entire cast was very charming, and to this day I wonder whatever happened to all of the sages from the first game. I was so happy that Daxter for the PSP was more platforming than weapons as a nod to the first J&D.

That said, I also enjoyed Jak 2 and 3. I thought it was a much need upgrade to the series, as well as the interesting cast of characters and an amazing storyline. I gotta say Jak 3 improved on Jak 2 in every way. Haven City was much easier to navigate through in Jak 3 since they downsized it in exchange for the wasteland. Light Jak provied a nice balance for Dark Jak, though I always found it strange that Light Jak could carry weapons. Jak 3's story, which finally revealed more about Jak's background, and ending was very satisfying (its all about the pants man). Jak 2 laid part of the foundation while being clever all the while with the time travel plot. The bottom line is that all J&D games kick ass in their own way. Heck, even Jak X was fun although it had a few flaws, and online was decent. That cliff hanger needs to be answered Naughty Dog!

Aww man, too much typing. I seriously can't wait for Uncharted 2, but I'd like to see Jak 4 first!
