Gah people used to say Hitman is gone now that it plays like splinter cell... well who said!... Turned out to be still a Hitman game only with added feature, better sneaking mechanic too. Only the biggest change here I feel is that you adapt & blend on the go (always on the move) instead of having to enter one space with its complex disguises & NPCs social role and spending a long time doing a lot of things (H2's reception Petronas Tower level). And 47 still can't put on female clothes LMAO! especially that French maid outfitCan't wait to pick this up tomorrow!

I'm happy the presence of games now have become cemented as a versatile mature media capable of doing a lot of things. First the exhibitions (Smithsonian and ACMI did them) to show case what they are and its chronology, now its application. A lot of game exhibition and curatorial have been talking about it from game design perspective. And game design is always made around the sense of adaptation and learning, if it can reach a goal of real social outcome this will be even better!

That's the problem with popular product, unlike movies / arts movie, I feel games are not ready yet to tell something really really bitter for fear of things not selling well. Until these people open up their mind it is really hard to deliver that 'authentic' war scene / experience, I reuse his term of authentic while he does not clearly outline what is the extend of his term 'aunthetic'. If I'd be let to make a war FPS game I would make it extremely difficult, you don't run around like stupid and knife people you camp around. You got shot on your knee, you can't walk for the entire chapter and you have to rely on your brothers in arms to help you survive. You shoot a guy in the knee and they will not be able to walk, they crawl, they will scream in pain. That is war! The fear, shaky sweaty hands, unsteady weapon aims. I believe they can simulate this, put the emphasis on the psychology of war itself. But if they prefer to sell, I won't blame them. Until someone can make that really hard FPS sells these people won't follow. They'll wait only after there's a market for it.

While i have to applaud them on the improvements of graphics and battle system. I still feel dragon age lacks soul. Sure the main character talks now but the character still isn't alive and I'll be truthful about this, compared to other RPG games their face expressions are rather emotively dull. And yes it lacks grandeur now I was thinking we'd go somewhere beyond kirkwall and other places near kirkwall like other cities. But it didnt happen. Mass effect 3, yes I'll follow, ill buy. Dragon age 2 dlcs or dragon age 3.. convince me of the improvement. I felt tricked already buying DA2 and I didn't like it.

alot of online games i'd say they "smuggle" the gambling activity into their games. This is done to, of course, make their game life span longer. From there, this buys them some time to develop on new ideas, new features and implementations in game. However this takes people to not only learn to be addict to the game but to the gambling itself. I can mention Hero online and Dekaron (two moons) they both have percentage rate of item upgrading successibility (is that an english word?). What they do in the end is to sell charms or something that might increase the chance of upgrading success. This is problematic in itself, what people tend to pick up quickly when they are able to + items higher than any other players are: outward character status, better looks, better power, therefore feeling more powerful, earning respect from others etc etc you get the picture... If online games are to be better games in the future I'd say they better stop using low drop rates etc and start expanding more on the features implementation and endless novelties rather than slowing people down with gambling strategy to slow the player's progress. drop rates, drop rates drop rates isnt this one of the biggest problem in mmorpg, I believe this can be considered as gambling in itself.

Realism cannot be made simply because we have technology. No matter how advance the technology in the future will be it still lacks one thing. We can see it from the games we play today. I think this lackness is heart. Characters in the games are made to be near perfect because people wanted to pass down to the next generations or those who play the game of what it means to be human. Definition of human is too wide if we add some of the aspects that humans have. Such as culture, race, skin color and everything we can think of to make human different from each other. Therefore, the animator tried their best to produce a motion of a digital character which are not human, to be like human. To create an imagery of what a human is. It is all just the means of passing down our culture from generation to generation and put the values in the heart. Humans are product of culture which means we learn one thing from another who pass the knowledge to us. It is all regarding how the culture is made. Every living being wanted to pass on their genes, culture, language... through poetry, music, joy, story... (Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty) So do we, youth of today. We play video game because this is our culture, we live with it. This is how we interact with technology and what, in return, technology give us in our lives.
