Come on people, if at any chance this becomes reality than we have to get our facts straight. What I'm talking about is the 2006 news from Hideo Kojima himself that a live-action Class-A Hollywood contract was finalized, from what we last heard would be Sony Pictures, for the film adaptation of Metal Gear Solid.

What we know is that Kojima (director/producer/writer) has come out saying that he has pushed a finalized idea of a game-to-movie adaptation of the hit Sony PlayStation game Metal Gear Solid to a certain top-notch film company-- lastly heard was from Sony Pictures. We also heard about it first live from the DICE summit conference in late 2006/early 07' before the release of Metal Gear Solid 4 for the PS3. As of now, no casting plans have been heard of yet, but some facts are straight...

On multiple game and news websites, Kojima has announced that David Hayter (voice of main protagonist Solid Snake in the video games/Screenwriter--not for MGS though) will not be part of the movie in any way shape or form. However, Kojima has said he is always open to ideas he would have on certain aspects of the film. So, all you people wanting him for the film; sorry, its not going to happen.

Now for my opinions (just roll with me) on some of the feedback from other topics about the film. Basically, I can't give you a premise of what the movie will be about in plot and theme, but what I can tell you is that I believe it will cover the aspect of one of the games and not a collection of all of them (this being from the first Metal Gear *NES (1987)-- up until the most recent Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots* PS3 (2008). I have a feeling it will cover just the 1998 game Metal Gear Solid released in 1998 for the first PlayStation. My reason for this is that the MGS universe is way to overpopulated with information that I think could be summed up by reliving that game and its story arch. I'm sure you agree with me that their is just too much information to be summed up in just one movie-- it would have to be a six hour movie!

My final element would just have to be who would be cast as Solid Snake. From what I've heard its basically fan-based selection between Hugh Jackman and Eric Bana, and I suppose Christian Bale. My opinion is that Eric Bana should play him hands down. For starters, I think Bale should never have been mentioned by anyone. His "grungy" Batman voice might have turned people on to him, but I thought it was just totally forced and unnecessary in the films-- especially the Dark Knight. Between Jackman and Bana I still have to say Bana, because he obviously looks more like a life-like version of Snake than Jackman does and again, that just looks obvious. I also don't think Jackman could interpret the Solid Snake voice that made the character so famous. For some more inspiration to detail go ahead and check out the scene in "Troy" (starring Eric Bana) where the two princes Hector (Bana) and Paris (Orlando Bloom) are leaving Sparta from a peace treaty between the Trojans and the Spartans. A line in which Bloom ends in saying, "I won't ask you to fight my war." Then in turn Bana comments with, "You already have."-- his voice in that segmen sounds pretty close to dead-on to David Hayter's voice of Snake.

Well this is my take on the film, I'd love to hear what others think.

not sure if its been answered for ya', but you have to hook it up to your modem first to even get it to work. it recognizes your IP address by connecting to it physically, then you disconnect it and hook it back up to your 360. The speed is great once you connect, but if you want great connection speed wirelessly you must have a good router--I suggest the NetGear WNDR3000 dual-band Wireless N router cheapest one you can get that can process 300+mbps.
