@grnsuperman4 @Myst17 Books are fantasy. Movies are fantasy. And we do read into them. A LOT. Analyzing our culture is a very valid way to better understand us as humans.

Whoa! So many inflamed comments. Can I just appeal for sanity here? First, generalizations help no one and mar every argument. Yes, there are douches out there that make very rude comments under the cloak of online anonymity; there are crazy and extremist feminists; there are very touchy people. But just don't assume they all are or that that's even the standard. Sexism in games and game development is real and need to be addressed, just as it is in every facet of human culture. What I don't know is the extent, the harmlessness or the consequences it has over the game industry. We just don't know enough. I'd like to know more about it. I'd be happy to watch a documentary about the subject. Of course we don't know how good/bad it's going to be until it's out. So right now it makes no sense to bash it just because we might believe it just might find out something we don't want to believe (shocker!). If it's good, then it's cool. If it sucks then we'll say it. Just wait for it to be actually out. Sure, I worry it might be alarmist or inflammatory, that it might portray things in a skewed light, etc. But what I say in this forum will not affect the outcome. if you don't care for the movie: Don't donate. If you do care enough: donate and speak out your concerns over there, where it's more likely the author will weigh in your opinions.
My personal opinion is that the more diverse the gaming and development community are, the more diverse games we get (More games! Better games!); and that including more people doesn't necessarily mean shutting down others.
