I think it's a great deal but only if Civ 4 comes with Colonization. Love all those games and if you really enjoy turn-based strategy (IMO, the best way to relax for an evening of gaming) then you can't find many series better than Civ and Xcom.

Anything by Bethesda. The Elderscroll or Fallout games, sequels and expansions.... Doesn't matter which one... I just get more involved in the game world than I do the real world which is probably unhealthy (at least that's what my wife tells me as she groans whenever I get a new one) but damn I love those games. It doesn't help either that I've been known to restart my character halfway through because I suddenly decide I want to role play it from a different angle. Especially when you consider that halfway through can mean 20-40 hours of play already. But tha's another beauty of those game engines, they're so open-ended you always wonder what would happen with a different skill set or faction.

Even the games they licensed out rarely met expectations. They were sitting on a cash cow with a remake of Xwing vs. Tie Fighter and never did anything. They deserve to be shut down. I'll always have a special place in my heart for the original Lucasarts team that designed so many classics almost a decade ago. Through all the duds they gave us or licensed, I still have to admit that Lord of the RIngs and Harry Potter are still far ahead of Star Wars when voting for biggest cash cow film properties to give us the poorest games.

[QUOTE="Scallene"]I recently purchased a new custom pc: here are the specs Ark intel i7 quad core overclocked 3.9 ghz Water cooled case 12gb ram Nvidia GeForce gtx 560 ti Windows 7 64bit All necessary cooling fans ect built to run overclocked Now here is my question what is the absolute MOST resource intensive game and how would this pc stand up to it? Thank you in advance -Scallene

I would like to know the answer as well. I just spent a pretty penny on the best gaming laptop I could find and I want to give this sucker a run for its money. So far, every game I've played on Steam has easily maxed the specs. I've done most of my gaming on my 360 or PS3 as of late, but I'd like to know what is the new Crysis, Morrowind.... i.e. the game that makes EVERYONE upgrade their system?

Probably the same amount of hype as usual, since Total War is a popular game as it is. I never played the first Rome game, but hear a lot of people thought it is the best of the Total War series. Plus people have been begging for another one for years since I started playing Total War games back when Medieval 2 came out.XIntoTheBlue
Rome Total War is still my favorite of the series. But it was the first Total War game I played and just like MMORPGs, I think the Total War games are so similar in gameplay mechanics, once you play one, you've played the rest.

Just want to give the developers props for one of the best singleplayer shooter campaigns I've ever played. Loved every minute and it made me keep coming back and playing it religiously until it was over. Thank you Ubisoft for remembering those of us who still enjoy a nice singleplayer campaign with our shooter.

Thanks for some of the suggestions not on the original post. Haven't followed MMORPGs lately and some of you make the lesser known titles sound very interesting.

Hi all. Haven't played an MMORPG in some time and would like to try some of the free offerings on Steam or elsewhere. Now that all of these titles have seen numerous content additions and bug fixes, which do you think are the best to play now? Age of Conan DC Universe Online Lord of the Rings Online Star Trek Online Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic (yes, the only non-steam title I'm looking at) Planetside 2 Everquest 2 Champions Online Dungeons & Dragons Online Any others?
