@P00DGE: Correct. I worked in Education in Boston for 10 years (2005-2016) myself so I know all too well.
You probably already know this but the U.S. has been racing to the bottom in Education in recent decades. Last time I checked, we're now 51. What's sad is we're behind countries with far less resources than us. Why? because in the U.S., Education is not valued like it is everywhere else. Especially Public Education.
I could go on but this isn't a good venue for this kind of conversation.
I read the source material--just binged it over the course of two weeks earlier this year--and Noir's big reveal was a twist no one sees coming. His true identity is a complete mystery to even the other Supes. You felt like it was just an established unwritten rule the others were not allowed to know, let alone ask certain questions about Noir's true identity. Yeah they would make jokes about him but no one went out of their way to provoke Noir, Homelander included.
I do think Noir's role as Homelander's kill switch will remain unchanged. The show's version of Noir not being a clone like in the comics doesn't really change anything in that regard. Homelander himself droping the hint "Noir doesn't see himself as part of any race" was a direct message to those who know the source material the show was taking the character in a slightly different direction.
It will be interesting to see if Noir is given another purpose in the show's version since it seems that's what is being built toward. In the comics, all but one of the members of The Seven are killed off. The only one who isn't killed is Stargirl, who leaves after Homelander is killed by Noir. Of course, by this point Stargirl has spent enough time with The Seven to feel jaded and cynical about them and doesn't really care anymore.
The only people saying there's bad blood between Sony and Nintendo over that are so-called "fans" of either company.

Nintendo and Sega anyone? Now Sega makes games for Nintendo consoles and has for 15+ years. Nintendo and Square-Enix? The 3DS appears to be the new home of the Dragon Warrior games and Cloud is a DLC character in the current-gen Super Smash Bros. Nintendo and Konami? Solid Snake was a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
Sounds like they got permission from Nintendo, Sony, Atari and Sega to do this. Most multi-console makers try to get the original hardware maker's blessing but few do because of the piracy risk factor. This is kinda why Sega and Nintendo released retro consoles last year (though both lacked the ability to add more games).
I don't think this kickstarter will backtrack on its anti-piracy stance, especially not when they know the console makers are watching them closely. Would I buy it? Hell no I wouldn't. LOL.
The idea was apparently pitched to PM Abe last-minute. They were going to use a Japanese athlete instead but since he was gonna be in Rio, they asked him and he basically said "Hell yeah!"
