Here we have one more petty little man (not meant as insult) with his ’god complex’ saying we have no power as customers and consumers. If enough people would demand physical copies and would not buy their products at all if those are not available would kids like this still be there saying that there is nothing that you can do about it?
“Deep down nobody cares about CDs anymore.” Well I do care about CDs and other physical copies more than digital – but Mr. God or psychic complex things that he knows that better than I do. He doesn’t wan me to have a choice. Music for example I rather get physical form instead of compressed crap. Quite often I can find CDs, DVDs etc. cheaper than same in digital from. How you like that scam customer? Um, oh, eh, well… Well we are talking about games here, but I rather have physical copy of those too.
I realize that world is going to that direction where there is only digital but what words and sentences are used here and by others who are taking this world to that direction is something to really think about, and maybe worry about depending how those come out and what lies behind. Why and how that agenda is taken forward? “Nothing you can do about it”, I know better than you do”, “you have no power”, “trust us blindly”, “we don’t care what you think” and list goes on. Guys like Patrice Desilets are throwing those kinds of words to us with that insanity and craziness in their eyes – which too few are able to see.
I rather live in the world of choice where there is room for both so I can choose which serves me and others better. I rather live in the world where some ones are not pushing their agenda by force, superiority, arrogance, lies, hidden agendas, dishonesty… but instead with respect, honesty, caring, listening, interaction, openness, sincerity… I rather live in free world – truly free world.
Jecoh For me it is not about fun, but about what I feel and think it right. It is simply hypocritical to speak something and then do the opposite. I'm willing to put aside my selfish need for fun, or at least look it from sources that don't support this; like Google, twitter, Facebook... Fo me actions are much stronger that words. As long those companies will buy off congress members to do their bidding - I will boycot them. ps. they are not your congress persons, they have been bought (most of them) and are representing corporate state of america - not the 99%.
I will not support monstrous bills like SOPA. I have made decision not just talk against it but also boycott companies that support it. SO no SW TOR or any games which EA is involved with, no INTEL processor, Win 7 is my last operating system from Microsoft... You can also have your say to these companies who support this bill. How soon you think they would change their minds when enough people stop buying their products? If they wouldn't listen - it would be end of their empires.
I don't like this kind of game promotion (or whatever). I need some über computer to run game, which doesn't even look so good, on full settings. For me that is poor coding and not so good engine. I wish that EA would respect us players so much that they would have given developers more time to make this game great. Let's face it; no matter how much you keep annealing, advertising this game it isn't great like its predecessor. I wish you spent your billions to actually making/developing this game "mighty" EA.
