I thought it was great - really happy I got it.....

It was hard, gritty and very intense in places......sure the gameplay/controls haven't changed much through the series - but other series also keep their same controls etc - ie: Halo, GoW, Half Life.......

I was a bit skeptical about the WW2 setting but I thought it offered enough change of setting and location variety to keep it fresh.....

I must admit I haven't played CoD 4 so I can't compare.....

!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So you skipped the original game from the original developers and went straight to the rip-off? That's a first.

I actually haven't seen any gameplay for this game. If they did a demo on E3, then I want to see it. It looked like a good game.

Yet you dont ahve any issues with new Call Of Dutys each year? or new Madden, NHL or NBA LIVE each year from EA?

kozzy1234

Each Call of Duty game has a 2-year development time. Infinity Ward takes two years to make one. Treyarch takes two years to make one. That way, they're released every year. Left 4 Dead 2 will have, maximum, a 10-month development period. So, you see, it's not the same thing. If people think Call of Duty games are all the same, despite the fact that each takes 2 years to develop, I can only guess that Left 4 Dead 2 will be, for all intents and purposes, nearly identical to the original.

Also, you can't compare an action game with a sports game. The only thing those guys ever do is add a new player or two, and do some new voice acting for the sports announcers. I don't see how you can compare a game like Madden to a game like Call of Duty or Left 4 Dead.

I said it. As soon as January rolls around, people love to start crying, "OH, BUT WE DON'T HAVE ANY GAMES, WAH, WAH, WAH, I MIGHT AS WELL SELL MY 360 AND BUY A PS3, BOO HOO!".

Then E3 rolls around and Microsoft wipes the floor with the competition. At this point, everyone shuts up. At least, until next year.

History repeated itself for the third time.

2007 was "the year of the PS3". After E3, no, it wasn't.

2008 was "the year of the PS3". Come E3, no, it wasn't.

Then they were saying 2009 was "the year of the PS3". E3 is here. And now it's our year.

I actually love the town of Anvil

Anvil

And I also love Cheydinhal, because that's where my best buddies are (The Dark Brotherhood).

Cheydinhal

God, I miss that game SO MUCH.

I should probably buy it again. :P

[QUOTE="Making_Pudding"]Would be, if I had the slightest idea what a gnat was.Drulx

Gnat.

It's a common insect.

Why not just say "fly"? You see what I mean when I say "50-dollar words"?

ya that is my problem. i went and played previous levels on easy to get other achievements and then continued the rest on veteran. this really sucks.

SomeRandomGuy92
You're lucky. Call of Duty 3 is probably the easiest Call of Duty title to beat on Veteran. The AI in the game is laughable. They take 2 years to see you, a decade to aim at you, and another generation to start shooting. Also, two grenades directly to the face won't kill you, which is simply hilarious. It takes 3 or more grenades to blow up exactly where you're standing to die on Veteran. That's the only reason that I even bothered to beat it. World at War was a pain in the ass, though. :[
