The game runs perfectly on my 4 years old machine. (2.13 core dou, 8600gts, 3 gb ram). I'm even using 1900x1200... Of course I take it down to high quality because 40 units firing at once makes it a bit sluggish, but who cares? It's looking good...

I just want to know which GPU should I buy to get smooth gameplay on a 1920*1080 23" screen. Now I have the 8600GTX 512MB and I was happy for 2 years. It changed... I can play most games out there, but at a heavy graphical cost...

Also Fallout 2 had it's own thing in that area. There was this guy in the Den who harassed you for a loan, then another, then another, and it seems like a dead end, until later in the game he comes back to you in a suit and gives you your money back + a laser pistol i think... I think this is the first time i ran into that sort of grey area in a game.

"The Witcher" definitely has the best mechanism in that area. Fallout 3 too has its moments, as far as unclear-choices-that-come-back-to-haunt-you go. But if you talk in general about applications of good-evil system, Neverwinter Nights had a bit of it too. To be a Blackguard or an Assassin, you need to be evil, and stay evil, which is rather difficult for me. :)

I'm quite disappointed with the graphics in general, since it was praised so much for it. Other than that, i'm happy and not surprised to see that the pc is again, the better choice. Long live PC

Quote: I would disagree with the comment that touch screen isn't relevant to gaming. It's true that there's not much that supports it at the moment but, 'build it and they will come'! The RTS formula seems to me like it could potentially work very well with touch screen, especially if it's on a device like Microsoft's 'Surface'. If the tech is there though, innovators in the industry will find ways to use it. Definitely... It'll be much cooler AND more comfortable touching the screen to build a power plant in Red Alert or something, while scrolling the map with the other screen... Should really improve gamers' quick thinking, coordination and maybe this'll prove that men can do two things at the same time...? :)

Quote:Alright dude, a great OS takes advantage of the times. Are you that damn cheap that you can't get 1 gig of ram?? RAM is so rediculously cheap that if you can't get 1 gig of ram...then you really shouldn't be on a computer. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820134216 You honestly can't spend 10 bucks on a gig of ram?? 20 bucks for two gigs? 40 bucks for 4 gigs? How about not going to Chilis for one night and getting yourself some RAM. If an OS kept itself the same to run on older systems, then it wouldn't get any better. How about stop being cheap and get with the times." What I meant was that an OS should become a background to the other things, such as games, instead of taking resources it shouldn't. I've stayed with XP because my 800Mhz 1 gb of ram wasn't satisfactory for my gaming needs while on Vista. If I can save money with my low salary as a 20 years old guy in Israel, then YES, I will do it, and staying with XP saves me some money while not keeping anything that is THAT good away from me. I'm not saying that it's perfect, but it does SUIT ME, as well as other gamers and users. No need to get all hyped and attack me, I respect your thoughts, but you misunderstood my attitude on the matter. If vista suits you, good for you, enjoy, just don't say it's so so good if it has so many flaws, there's a reason why microsoft felt they had to give their angry customers a quick reply for their feelings...

omg, am i the only one thinking it looks like a big advertisement? Sounds too perfect, especially after 3 of my friends told me they think it's just a bit better than vista... and what the hell?! a good OS shouldn't require YOU to upgrade your computer! it should be flexible enough to run on a wide variety of comps! it's just absurd that people are writing in the same sentence:"Vista is a GREAT OS, but only if u have 1 gb ram and a good processor, oh and vista's UAC is annoying, oh and that, and that..." are you even thinking about what you're writing? let windows 7 be out, tested by modest systems, and then we will all decide if WINDOWS 7 FITS US, not if OUR COMPUTER FITS WINDOWS 7... god damn
