What do the fans of either or both franchises think needs to be done to make each game better? For me....

Halo 3...

Bungie appears to be on the right track with Halo 3 from what Ive played on the Beta. I love the new maps, new gadgets, new vehicles and the new weapons however, there are some things I wish they would have addressed or may possibly....

-Halo as a franchise suffers from the same thing that plagued PDZ. It simply takes too long to kill someone at times. I mean seriously, how many shots from a Sniper Rifle or Shotty should it take to put someone down. Sure, head shots are instant kills, but Imo, 2 body shots with a shotty as close range should be enough.

-Jumping is retarded and needs to be done away with or changed. Imo, if you jump, you cant shoot. Halo is a SHOOTER, not a gymnastics contest. Getting beat by some idiot that cant take you face up and instead has to rely on a cheese ball jump over you to stay alive is lame! Gears, Rainbow Six Vegas, CoD 2 and GRAW seem to do just fine without everyone jumping around like idiots!

-Halo's Matchmaking is dumb Imo. I think we the gamers should be able to set up our own rooms, wait for them to fill and play what types of games we want, with who we want. If you want to play Ranked games, there can be stipulations for those to keep the games competitive. But, If I want to invite 7 of my friends for a Camoflage/Rockets match unranked, then I should be able to do that!

 

Gears of War/Gears of War 2

-More weapon variety...SMG, Dual Wields, Rocket Launcher...etc

-Bigger maps

-8 Vs 8 gameplay

-more gamemodes....CTF, Bombing Runs etc...

-VEHICLES!!!

I don't agree about Gears. If they put all that stuff in Gears you listed, then it would be 3rd person Halo. Halo does need a LITTLE work but Gears is fine IMO.
