Unreal Tournament 3 is the closest you're going to get to that good ole feeling. Grab a friend, turn up the bots difficulty, throw on CTF on Facing Worlds and you're good to go. So much fun.

Borderlands has no hype because it's not coming out anytime in the near future. I think Ghostbusters will be a sleeper hit, yeah alot of fans are excited and alot of people think it will be a good game but it looks like it has the potential to be something completely original and great.

Bustin is going to make a whole lot of people feel good.

Portal was the only reason i bought the Orange Box, i dabbled with HL2 but couldnt get into it. I'm in the camp that thinks the levels dragged on too much and there wasnt enough action. It's kinda strange, i loved the orignal Half Life but HL2 bored me to tears. Half Life just hasnt aged well and doesnt standout amongst some of the most recent FPS games with some really creative gameplay mechanics and interesting stories.

One thing that upset me the most about HL2 is how often physics based puzzle come into play to destroy the pacing........ throwing bricks onto one end of a board to raise the other end isnt fun and it's not doing anything but showcasing technology that i guess Valve is impressed by and hopes we all are too.

mine is not working either.. what is goin on?

dmgr

Well it at least makes me feel better that it's not just me having problems lol

Hopefully it'll get patched soon.. it's kinda lame that the incentive for pre-ordering the game doesnt work.

Fallout 3 is one of those games you hang on to, years from now i gurantee it'll still be almost full price (look how long it took oblivion to drop in price) and with E3 right around the corner i dont think it's too far fetched to expect Bethesda to announce more dlc for 08's goty.

I think Star Ocean was really good, just lacking like others have said. It may sound silly but one thing that held it back for me were the horrible achievements, 80% of them are horribly time consuming and not fun to get. I wasnt a big fan of the item creation system either, going back to the ship to create things was inconvenient and farming for items was boring.

I would definitely say ToV is the best JRPG on the 360.

ToV is my favorite rpg on the xbox and i've played them all. The characters are all really lovable and the game has a suprisingly not corny or over the top sense of humor. The story is pretty good, the graphics are gorgeus (unless you're not into anime or cel shading) the combat system is kinda like a real time hybrid where you'll see an enemy on the field walk into them and go into a real time battle at the end of which you get the typical jrpg after battle stats. It's a pretty lengthy game with tons and tons of stuff to do and some really creative fun to get achievements and a couple of pretty challenging ones. Some other cool things about the game are the airship and free exploration once you get the airship, giant rare monsters to kill, some fun mini games on a kinda secret island.. it's just a really fun game.

If you're into RPG's you wont regret getting ToV one bit.

I only have 2 suggestions and if the problem keeps persisting you might have to get your 360 repaired.

Try the clear cache trick, i had some weird pixalation problems with a couple games and the clear cache fixed it right up. Go to your system settings click on memory now hit the Y button on whatever your main device is, after that enter X X LB RB X X, a message should pop up asking if you want to perform system maintanance.. say yes.

If that doesnt work you might have to just play the game from your HDD by installing it.. and if the problem still persists after you try all that you might be screwed =/

I have one question for you, is it just Skate 2 that's acting up or all your games?

Personally i liked ToV more because of the combat system, LO has a great story but the combat is kinda slow and can get a little boring. I played TLR for about 10 minutes and just couldnt get into the combat system, it's really different and it wasnt for me.

I'd also like to suggest Star Ocean The Last Hope, it's tied with ToV for my favorite RPG on the 360.
