I sit in a recliner and have a long piece of thick cardboard that goes across both ends of the chair I put my KB/M on, works fine.

This is similar to what I do. I have a chair that I built a cardboard table for, and it works great. So maybe couch gaming isn't the answer, but a comfy chair can work quite nicely!

Lots of Apple hate in here, not too surprising thought because it's a PC gaming thread, though. I have a Macbook Air that I love, and I'll play indie's or whatever else I have on steam that works on Mac OS but that's not why I have a mac. They are freakishly reliable, amazing support (getting the most random things fixed in an hour at the apple store for free), totally user friendly, and yeah they look good. It is a "luxury" brand, after all. I do my PC gaming on the desktop I built though... but I can't stuff my desktop into my bag and have it for 8 hours of easy use.. so there's that..

Even if more games get released on OS X, and Mac hardware gets more conducisive to PC gaming, that won't hurt Windows users... that's just stupid. Did Portal 2 suffer for being released on OS X and Windows simultaneously? No. If you want to talk about problems with PC games, I'd look at consoles holding PC games back and obtrusive DRM for that.

Typically you want to devote your talents to one tree, and then when you get to the top of it, choose a few talents from the bottom of another.

I enjoyed it in it's complete ridiculousness.. kinda like the trainwreck that you can't look away from. I liked the guy who won and the military guy (were they different? I don't remember), but most of these people are so obnoxious it's scary. The guy that almost went out but didn't (the youtube "star") really should have left too. Jumping up to volunteer first should have given the one girl somewhat of a leg. The Youtube guy said he had 14 trophys (I don't judge people by trophy collections but that means he played like one game for a little while or a few games for a matter of minutes)... what the hell is he doing in a sony competition like this? He really doesn't seem to want the job, and he doesn't seem to know the compnay at all, clearly the weakest of the pack.

Eh, I may get flamed for this, but I found RDR not that great as people make it out to be. I didn't like certain aspects of the game that threw me off, but I still managed to finish it. Wasn't bad, but wasn't good either. Just an okay game, that you should play once and then leave. Just my opinion. Gamerperson33

I am with you. I found the story bland and completely seperate from the gameplay. I could play as a complete jerk but my story is about redemption? Doesn't make much sense. The combat was so easy (you have to turn off the auto aim in the bullit time mode, after that it's still pathetically easy) and repetitive. It looked pretty though. Also I hated the horse riding, I don't care how "real" it felt, it was just annoying to me.

[QUOTE="DanielDust"]DA: O is great (1/3 of the game) and decent (2/3), but Witcher 2 is a way better game.Elann2008
I couldn't agree more. My "like" for DAO isn't on a pedestal like many others though. I especially hated the part when you transform into a mouse and all that jazz. Ugh....

I love this game (a lot more than the people in this thread, and that's fine) but I hate, hate, hate, hate the fade. I'm so glad to be able to mod that portion of the game away.

I might have considered it, but it's coming out so close to Twisted Metal that I'm going to pass. I'm really excited for TM though, haha.

Uncharted 3 is great, even if you haven't played the other two. MGS4 is even better, but if you haven't played 1-3 don't bother. You'll be lost. You can always come back to MGS4 if you want, but Uncharted 3's multiplayer is very active now, so you might want to consider that sooner rather than later.

If they handle it like Steam does, cheap games, constant sales, big holiday discounts, and preloading (where you download the game prior to release, so you can play the game the minute it unlocks). If they handle it like PSN now, it will be too expensive and slow.

Couple that with a 1 or 2 TB hardrive, sounds good to me! Oh and of course cloud saves and being able to download and redownload games an infinite number of times, and a buggless offline mode (much like how it's handled now would be fine).

Optimisation is horrendous. I have 2 cf 6950's and a 1055t 6 core overclocked and can only run the game on medium settings, high setting I get 20fps, ultra goes way down to around 8fps and is unplayable.

Loving the game so far though even on medium and I think there is not much difference between the settings looks wise so its not too bad, just sucks to spend so much money on a computer and it isnt even utilised.

Hmm, I'm using 1 6950, and i7 quad, and I'm running it on Ultra High. I don't know what is going on for you, but it's not the game.

No lag, only one crash in a ton of gameplay so that's good. The story seems great, the dungeons are fun with lots of variety. The UI is a little tricky at first, but you get used to it (people are really over exaggerating). I've killed a few dragons and that is awesome and epic, without being annoying like oblivion gates.

So far I'm enjoying it most out of any game this year, but I've only begun to scratch the surface!
