@Seth_Defiler Right, but Fallout is not Bethesda's only IP. They made some other games in the meantime, Skyrim, now Wolfenstein and so on

@ry_guy_46853 @LordCrash88 Oh, irony. I like that more than dumb insults. It let you seem more inteligent but it doesn't make your arguments any stronger I fear....
There is no digital games market without DRM, it just won't happen. There is nothing out of proportion, the impact of this form of DRM would have been in fact very small for a vast majority of people but the benefis of sharing digital games could have been huge. All this talking about ownership is SO unimportant because it has no impact on your "daily gaming life" not even on a bigger scale. But yes, no you can sell your physical copies but you can't share your digital copies. I'm not happy with that, simple.

@blackbeltjones @LordCrash88 Why should that be the best for the majority? Yesterday we had two very different consoles with different approaches and different features. Yesterday people had a real choice, there was variety. Don't like always-online and digital games? Ok, buy a PS4. Don't like physical copies, but want to share digital games with your family/friends? Ok, buy an Xbox One.
Today there is absolutely no variety anymore. People LOST today, consumers lost today. The lost their possiblity to choose between different approaches.
It's annoying that people who already stated that they would buy a PS4 nevertheless wanted that MS should change its policies for the Xbox One just "out of principle" no matter if other people actually liked the concept and were happy that one of the consoles went this more digital and connected way without a big focus an physical copies. But they won. Now they can choose between two consoles which are almost the same. But the other people lost "everything". Now I heard people say: "Stop complaining. Just buy a PC." Well, good advice? But the same people ranted yesterday that it was arrogant to say that people could stick to the 360 if the don't have a good internet connection. Ah yes, makes sense......

@the_hunger LOL, nice try. But your argument is not stronger if you come up with weird speculations and personal attacks.....

I have a right to have my own opinion on the thing (and no, I work not for MS). Or do we live in a totalitarian system now where the mob rules which opinion is valid or not? Holy hell......

Pro consumer? The whole discussion is digital vs. physical.....(DRM is just a part of digital gaming)

Now all fans of physical copies have the same thing as they have now but fans of digital copies have nothing. The really cool innovative features like the family-sharing plan and disc-free playing are now gone and the outdated way of playing games with discs in the tray is there again. Well, thanks for nothing, whining-internet-guys......

Today was a harsh defeat for innovation, digital gaming and connected experience and a win for outdated physical disc gaming which only serves stores like Gamestop and people who want to play games for almost no cash instead of paying an adequate amount of money for playing games.

This decision sucks balls! The ranting internet won against a strategy which was there to be in place for the next 10 years, which means the future. Now we have not even ONE true next-gen console, just two old consoles with outdated policies, outdated business models and aging physical disc. Oh yes, and both consoles offer new good looking graphics. Nice. But that's all.
