Yeah, kinda. Just Cuase 2 had a vast and various environment so I enjoyed free roaming it after I finished the campaign. And it was a lot of fun. You still discover new villages, military bases, hidden Easter eggs and stuff. WoW for instance, is doing it wrong.Crimsader
Huh, my opinion of WoW was the exact opposite haha :P i loved that game for the fact that after around 7 levels or so, even more environments would open up. and the change was SOOOOO drastic that it kept me going for about 3 years haha. sadly i can't play anymore because my computer has never been able to run it without freezing. :/

I don't know about you guys, but i believe the key to replay value is environment. Of course i include smooth, fun gameplay, but i think i get drawn to games mostly, and play them longest, for the fact that the environment is always varied and "different". my key example is Borderlands. I recently sold that game because i tried to play it after a long rest and i couldn't stand playing in a constant wasteland. i understand the story revolves around the planet that is a total dump, but i think that's its big flaw. does anyone else feel this way or just me?

They'll be vehicles, they just took them off.

This makes this game a first-day purchase for me now, I'm so excited. I had some of the best moments of gaming on Halo: CE on Blood Gulch, even though I know it won't be the same.

According to Red VS. Blue, it looks like the old Halo CE or 2 map (it looks like Coagulation from Halo 2, but in the vid they called it home) Bloodgulch is coming back in an even bigger fashion!!!! I don't know about you guys, but Coagulation has a special place in my heart as the best multiplayer experience i've ever had. With custom games, this was always the first choice. What are your guys' thoughts after watching this vid. Excited to see it back? Think it will get axed (but highly unlikely haha)?

halo 2 easily Decko5
that's what i thought too. i think Halo 3 went in the direction of having open areas, but different ways of presenting them. like how Narrows is, it has 2 levels of long open(ish) areas, but nothing really memorable. but Halo 2 had more knooks and cranneys for players to fight in.

after seeing all of the plans Bungie has for Reach (i.e. Multiplayer at E3 footage), i was very excited. all of the mechanics seemed to work well and will indeed change the way Reach multiplayer will be played. but for these mechanics to work, Bungie must deliver or the Map front as well.

Think back to Halo CE and Halo2. Most of you must remember your favorite map (for me, Beaver Creek and Coagulation). What made it so great? for me, Coagulation was the place to be for custom games, and lead to great skirmishes in the BTB match type.

Now, take it to Halo 3. Which was yours their? Was it as good as the favorites of CE and H2? I asked myself this question and i had to say: The first 2 games had much better maps than Halo 3. Idk if this is just me, but i think the reason the first 2 games were so memorable were the maps. sure Halo 3 had the addition of equipment, Forge, the theater, and graphics, but the first 2 had the best maps, by far.

After contemplating this, what do you guys think Bungie will do in Reach as far as map design? What would you like them to do? Do you think they will go the way of Halo 3 and design more open areas, such as how Valhala was? Or the way of Halo CE and Halo 2, where it would usually have a small open area, somewhat like Halo 3, but with an iconic structure in the middle (Beaver Creeks rock bridge... thing?).

I think diversity in map design is key to success, and after seeing the Beta, i believe Bungie knows that. But do you think it will be a good diversity?

i have no problem with his video game intake. he doesn't do anything wrong until he's with this friend of his. i've already tried taken action (i.e. grounding) but no matter what it always comes back to this. Grounding isn't always the answer you know. If you only believe that's the answer, the child will more than likely just grow more and more defiant

So as of right now, me and my son (15) share an Xbox Live account. i'm all fine with him playing the games and talking to the usual psycho people, but he has befriended one and he has changed for the worst! ever since he's played with this friend he has been acting up and going completely out of line. is there any way i can cut off this line of communication for good? like make it so that i can take the other player off the list and make sure my son can't add him back later? i know that it is a little mean to try to do, but if he's going to play with people like this who turn my son into a bad kid, i don't want him playing with them. thank you all for any help! much appreciated

[QUOTE="LittleBigDawg"][QUOTE="Theokhoth"]If it's legal to burn the damn thing then I highly doubt it's illegal to write on it.wallymartin

i think the burning thing is for if it drops to the ground. idk i think i heard my dad talking about it one day

That's retiring a flag. Burning it while it is still good and useful (what Theokhoth is talking about) is typically a sign of protest.

ya what you said :D haha
