Everyone all riled up about the microtransaction shit, I'm concerned about the fact that they fill games with bots, rendering the point of even playing the game totally meaningless. And this still got an 8.

@Gelugon_baat: People are fucking weird man. Like what do you even get out of that? What is the thought process that transpires while you're copy pasting someone's comment on some obscure review? For likes? To boost self-esteem? Is there no shame? I NEED AN ANSWER DAMMIT

@lembu90: Funny, I'm running XCom 2, all high settings, at 60 FPS on a mid-grade machine that's worth less than a thousand. Not sure where you got your "requirements" from...

This game is so bad, no zombies. This series has always been strictly about zombies guys.

Except for the Lickers.

And the chimeras.

And the spiders.

And the alligators.

The bandersnatches.

The dogs.

And... Well, maybe about 50 other types of enemies previously used in the RE series.

...where was I going with this?

@joseph_mach: Not sure what a numbered score would do here other than incite a riot. They didn't really go into detail on the pros and cons of the games or the launch line up. Hell, they shouldn't have even called this a review. It's more of an initial impression if anything

@handheldhimself: See, before you try to generalize my statement across all boards, you should really look back and see the part where I mentioned the gameplay and story are what are lacking. Every game series you've mentioned has succeeded to shake up the gameplay or plot at sometime during it's existence.

Portal: Portal is a game that prides itself on tickling your brain, patiently waiting for you to figure out the solution to the puzzle. The reward comes in the achievement itself. Not to mention the eerie plot and humorous moments that drive the player forward. I'm not being fed an artificial loot item every time I do something monotonous as a pat on the back for holding the fire button down.

Skyrim: There's way more to the game than that. Story, lore, AND new loot/abilities become available as you progress. Not to mention the immersion that comes with being in a medieval setting. It's hard to get immersed in The Division when I have to shoot somebody 300 times to kill them just because his level is way higher than mine. It's transparent, phony, and meant to draw the gameplay out, whereas in a game like Skyrim, the ridiculous amount of quests and sub-quests (most with a thought out conclusion) ALONG with the loot and leveling keep the player going.

Sports games: Sports games are a team effort. Each side starts with an equal chance at winning, making them great competitive games for friends and strangers alike. This concept actually extends into games like League of Legends. There is no competitiveness in The Division. Oh wait, there is. The competition is "who can sit in one place playing the game the longest so they're at the peak quality of loot required to dominate everyone else"

COD: Don't even get me started.

Now please inquire why The Division will be mentioned years from now? People are already reaching the level cap, so how much longer will people stick around once their looting/leveling itch is no longer being scratched? I guarantee by this time next year, the game will be nothing but a cesspool of jackasses making the Dark Zone a living hell.

Watch out for that new Division DLC y'all, coming out next Summer.

@Tanares: This is AFTER all the Heists have been done, of course. Unlocking things is always fun in a game. And doing the Heists were fun... the FIRST time. Now people want to farm the same Heists just so they can buy something that they can terrorize the local "inferior", non-farmed populace with.

Yes, these were my "friends". Needless to say we don't play together much anymore.

So I guess I'm the only one around here who needs more than a new leveled weapon to replace my old one every few minutes to enjoy a game. I dunno, I just really hate these loot based games that are coming out with gameplay and stories/lore that lack any real substance past "shoot the enemy 30 more times to kill him, get more XP and possibly get a better pair of boots then unlock the next cutscene". It just gets old real fast. It's like when the all the people I met online just want to do Heists in GTAV because they get money in it. It's like how many more cars can you buy? Let's go do something fun and crazy instead of grinding for money that's gonna sit in a bank account anyway. Same way I feel about these types of games.

First person shooter, third person shooter, dungeon crawler, MMORPG, you name it. It's all exhausting at this point, and the ridiculous hype is what does it for me especially.
