What's up with Killzone 3 today 02/24/2011? Yesterday I was playing the game with some minor problems but they weren't game crippling.The minor problems I was refering to were the ones where it stays locked up when connecting to a multiplayer game.Today I try to get online and no dice. I keep getting this error code.

Error Code 8001

I try to go to the games homepage and it doesn't load at all it seems like they are having network difficulties but can anyone tell me exactly whats going on?

Bulletstorm = Single Player and Online Co-op only. This is merely a marketing ploy to get people buying into Shallowstorm to get the stupid Gears of War 3 Beta. Epic games made an Epic Fail. My friend bought this game he returned it next day. He said he was so dissapointed.

Killzone 3 = Single Player , Split Screen Co-op Only ( this is bad ju ju ), Online Competitive Multiplayer, Offline Botzone ( its exactly like Multiplayer but with bots instead of people), if you buy the game new it comes with a Socom 4 beta which they will start in March. This game is like nothing I have ever played so much fun so awesome so epic. I am still playing right now lol.

Meh. Most SATA 3.0 platter drives can't populate a SATA 2.0 line, and the Intel RAID controller is surprisingly good. I'm not sure if there's anything to fuss about.

Thats why I paid for the product because I wanted to take advantage of the new technology. Not only was I lied to when I read the specification but I didn't get what I paid for.... I could always downspeed the Hard drives to SATA 2 but thats not the point. The point is I wanted SATA 3 RAID 0.... thats what I wanted thats what I was paying to get and I got totally screwed over... Not only can't I not get my SATA 3 RAID 0 but I can't Crossfire any of the ATI HD Radeon 5000 series... To me these are MAJOR cons and in that respect I don't think I will ever buy anything with an Intel Chipset or that uses an Intel Processor. Everytime I buy Intel I get screwed over in some way, shape, or form.

I'm sticking with AMD from here on out.

Hey Intel! ( Middle Finger ) SUCK IT INTEL! SUCK.... IT!

My point is, you're not losing any speed by using the ICH10R, as most (if not all) SATA 3.0 HDD's cannot full up the 384MB/s bandwidth provided my a SATA 2.0 line. In other words, you wouldn't see any difference between SATA 2.0 and SATA 3.0 with your current HDD's.

I put the 2 drives in RAID 0 on SATA 2, not a big deal everything works great, but again NOT WHAT I PAID for lol. I could have purchased a cheaper board with the same Intel RAID controllor for alot less, thats my point lol...

My question is what is the difference between Soft and Hard RAID? Where would I find a decent RAID controllor for 2 HDD's that I want to put into RAID 0? I have a PCI port open and a PCI express x1.

Is there a limit on how much hard drive space can be in a RAID setup?

For ex.

I have --- 2TB
2TB Can I RAID0 them and still get the full 4TB

I had my SATA 3 hard drives plugged into the SATA 3 controllor thats why the Intel Storage Matrix wouldn't even pop up, I was such an idoit.

I'm so angry now with ASUS because they lied on there product description saying I could put the SATA 3 hard drives in RAID 0 but it turns out that I can't at least not with this board because of the date when it was manufactored. I could rebuy the board and as long as its fairly new it will support the RAID 0.

Its kinda like they just rushed out there board and didn't finish it until after a bunch of people bought it... Im so mad at myself Q_Q! Oh well you live , you learn.

Ok well I re-read the whole manual and it turns out that the ports that give me the SATA 3 speed aren't part of the RAID controllor.... so yeah basically I wasted money on this board because I wanted SATA 3 RAID 0 and now its just not gonna happen.

S3 port 1 ==== == Marvell Controllor with no RAID from what I've been reading.....
S3 port 2 ====

S2 port 1 =====
S2 port 2 ======== Intel Raid Controllor with all the RAID setups
S2 port 3 ========
S2 port 4 =====

In your manual it says that in the BIOS under "SATA Configuration Options," you will only get the submenu where you chose IDE, RAID, or AHCI when you chose Compatible, or Enhanced. Have you tried it both ways, under Compatible mode then under Enhanced mode - then "Exit and Save Changes" reboot with Ctrl, Alt, Delete, and hold Crtl + I while rebooting. If you've tried it both ways and you're still not able to enter the RAID utility to mount the drives in the array, is it recognizing the drives when configuration is set to IDE or AHCI? It is not as simple as plugging in the drives and choosing RAID as stated above.

I read the manual and I already set it up in the BIOS, I just cant get the intel Storage Matrix but appeartly the Manual gives me the incorrect key, it says to press Ctrl+I when its really Crtl+C or at least thats what one of the people who posted here was telling me. I'm about to go try it, wish me luck!

No dice, I'ma try your way jevery57. I understand that I have to setup up the Array after I've put it into RAID in the BIOS but! The utility that Im suppose to use to make it a RAID array doesnt come up after post even though I spam the buttons the manual says to press. Ctrl+I Im going to play with it for a while if anyone knows what I'm doing wrong please let me know!
