Well i like to play games, and im intiuitive and dont need 4 weeks to figure out how to play a game...

I played counter strike for a week cause i waswaiting for cod4 to come outand after an hour of constanlty staring at a respawn screen i got quite good at it...even managed to get a few double kills....

Also used to play runescape for roughly 4-5 hours a day on weekdays and 9 hours + on weekends...so id say that was a bit hardcore...then again there are ppl that play for like 24/7 with nappies on so they dont have to get up of the seat....

DONT ASK HERE you will get completely biased answers.

Ill tell you one thing though...ps3 IS much more reliable than 360...what games u want to see on your system is what u should think about before making the switch..

I dont want to have a pc that can run crysis....i just want a pc that can run two freakin programs at once lol..it cant even run counterstrike because it keeps lagging (on singleplayer with bots) thats why i JUST want more RAM and i saw like 1 gig ram at my local pc store for like 60£ which i would be prepared to spend to have a pc that can run stuff without lag....

I cant buy an alienware pc or anything like that and i dont wan tto since i mainly play on consoles... ijust use pc for internet, files, stuff like that mainly....

No clue....i am a noob to pc gaming...i just want to crack open the damn thing, change its RAM, maybe give it something else, and hook it up to a monitor....Its just a standard pc...comes standard with 98 but i just install it with XP....Its service pack 2....

Hey people serious thread...

Right i wasnt allowed to go on the home laptop for a while then when i get back on it the fan isnt working at all...i knew this was bad news since the thing was realllllly burning hot and the fan still didnt come on...then it started to switch off randomlly (probably since it is getting too hot)

I havea proper pc but my dad smashed the keyboard....the pc is kinda rubbish it is windows 98 but i can upgrade easily to XP....I am thinking about changing the RAM on it so it is faster and getting some stuff for it like a monitor and MAYBE even a graphics card or something.....i have never done this before so ifyou could point me to a site that will help me pull the pc apart and show me how to change the stuff i would be most greatful...

Also could someone answer these questions:

Can i change the fan on the home laptop to somehow make it work again?

Can i just buy any type of RAM and stick it into my pc and it will work?

Im not bashing the pc infact i rlly like to play soem games on the pc liek counterstrike but no one on the other boards ever replies to anything you post.....this is the only place anyone responds..
