In terms of performance, does the stream processing units count more than the core bus speed. the 4850 has 800 stream processors as opposed to the 9800gt which has a little over 100. is it so much more powerful?

the 4850 has 800 stream processors, for me that's a big plus, but the core speed of the 9800gt+ is a bit higher and i'm a bit afraid to overclock now because of what happened to my last card

I heard that the 4850 tends to get a bit hot when overclocking but it maxes out most games

I just damaged my 9400gt and I'm looking to replace it, but my mainboard is and ASUS M2N-MX SE+ with an Nvidia chipset and I was looking at the Sapphire radeon 4850 would there be any conflicts with the chipsets

I remember when I built my first PC 4600+ athlon, 1gb ddr2 800, 10gb hdd running onboard graphics with an asus m2n-mx se+ the first game I installed on it was NFS carbon. It took almost half the hard drive space running windows xp

I checked out the specs on the 9600gt oc edition but i'm a bit concerned about heating, the new cards now are coming with some pretty decent fansinks so i'm wondering if its worth the extra bucks to invest in a card that will probably last longer like the 9800gt http://cgi.ebay.com/MSI-N9800GTX-T2D512-OC-512MB-PCI-Express-Video-Card_W0QQitemZ350213068598QQcmdZViewItemQQptZPCC_Video_TV_Cards?hash=item518a535736&_trksid=p4634.c0.m14.l1262&_trkparms=|301%3A1|293%3A1|294%3A30
