I used Nvidia System Tools to OC my card. I also think that reinstalling the OS might be the only solution.

Hi, i've got a situation here.

About three days ago I decided to overclock my 7600GT so I could hopefully get better performance out of Crysis (I didn't BTW). However I found that some older games had dramaticly improved frame rates, so I decided to leave the card overclocked.

I thought the computer was working fine until just this morning when I turned the computer on and found my cursor staticly stuck in the middle of the screen. Now i've been here before and I know it can be a NUMBER of problems, but the first thing that came to mind was the overclocking of my GPU.

So my question is, could it be directly related to me overclocking and if so how do I fix it.

NOTE: I've tried several times to start Windows XP in safe mode with no avail, something is keeping me from reseting the system to its lowest settings.

My computer specs are as follow (including overclocking info)

-GPU GForce 7600gt - 625/795 OC - 580/750 Out of the Box -

-CPU AMD Athlon 64bit 3800- X2

-2gb DRam Corsair (1Stick)

-Motherboard Abit AN52

-Windows XP Home 32bit

Thanks for reading and I hope someone can help me!
