@balrogbane They already are: there's no option to buy single episodes, you just buy the whole package together (at least: that is the case if you buy it from Steam).

@Saidrex Have you considered the enormous number of games that have been reviewed in the history of GameSpot? It would take considerable time and effort to take a new look at all those games. And not every game has changed that much and thus warrants another look at the game. In this case patch 2.0.1 is a significant overhaul of the original 1.0 version of Diablo III and thus deserves this update. GameSpot did the same for League of Legends some time ago, which even got a significant higher rating than in the original review.

So far, I like the new design. Sure, the loading times seem to have increased and it looks like there are still a couple of bugs around, but I am sure the webdevs will iron all the kinks out eventually.

2012 was a great year for gamers with excellent titles in many categories, but many were new iterations of experiences we already know from earlier games, like Mass Effect 3, Assassin's Creed III, Far Cry 3, etc. Even Dishonored - my personal favorite for GOTY - is in many ways based on earlier games. Thumbs up for GameSpot for rewarding creativity and excellence in game design and for reminding us what games are all about: letting the gamer experience something new.
