They won't close it until the contract runs out...which I believe is 2012, ironically enough.

My favorite directors are:

Kubrick, The Coens, Paul Thomas Anderson (Magnolia is his best), Ingmar Bergman, Federico Fellini, and others I can't think of right now.

I liked Danny Boyle's Trainspotting and Sunshine, but I found Slumdog to be really campy, I guess that goes along with its bollywood theme? I don't know, wasn't my cup of tea. My personal favorite of the year was the Wrestler.

[QUOTE="cametall"][QUOTE="viewtiful26"]It was a decent movie on its own, although I imagine a lot of people who didn't read the series would be a little confused (one of my friends was creeped out and couldn't figure out what the hell Bubastis was, since it wasn't explained in the film). I read the series awhile back...I kinda wish I had the time to read it again.viewtiful26
That excuse doesn't fly. I never read the comic and understood the movie and it's undertones. If someone is confused it's because they went in expecting a Batman or Spiderman movie and never changed their mindset accordingly.

Really? Can you explain to the people who haven't read the series what Bubastis was, how Rorschach got his mask, and his origin? There were several story elements that were not as developed that would leave viewers asking questions.

Wait for the director's cut...they were limited on screen time because the Imax projectors can't carry that much footage. I would have like to see the scene where Rorschach got his mask, but they did have an orgin scene which developed his personality. The whole Bubastis thing should have been taken out, since she was never integral to the story and just left casual moviegoers saying WTF.

The theatrical version was not perfect, I will admit, but the director's cut (I know) will be in-effing-credible. Being a huge fan of the graphic novel for over two years, I was pumped for this movie- watched every clip, trailer, interview, etcetra, that I could get my hands on. I would be impossible to make the movie exactly how the graphic novel played out, but I believe every change was made for a good reason. As a director, you can make a movie for the core audience and alienate the mainstream, you can make it mainstream...make a bunch of money...and piss off the core audience, or you can try to blend the two and cater to both parties. The pacing was kinda strange at times, but that is small beans compared to the larger whole of how successful this movie translated itself. We should be thanking Zack Snyder, he fought for the fans when I don't think anybody else would. He captured the mood of the graphic novel while making an entertaining peace of visual ecstacy. I applaud him for his efforts and I applaud every actor (the male cast) in their superior acting abilities.

[QUOTE="Jigsaw_McGraw"][QUOTE="Theokhoth"]

[QUOTE="Jigsaw_McGraw"]isn't the prince in the game white...I mean come on! He has a british accent for god's sake.blackngold29

He doesn't have a British accent in the game. . . .but yes, the Prince is white with a tan in the games. People make way too much fuss over the skin color.

I don't know...its pretty british to me.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5g4Fej0x7_g

It sure isn't a persian accent.

Accent's mean nothing.. If you've ever seen Lost, Sayid has a british accent in real life and he plays a very convincing Iraqi.

Yeah, I know...that is not the point.

He is a british man, of course he would have that accent. I am saying the part in the game has the prince speaking in a british accent, and ironically the prince is persian...meaning a persian accent? Do you get my point? It doesn't matter that he is white in the movie because he is not a mirror image of a persian.
