For people moaning about the price calculations just remember the last gen prices where despite the rates being even further apart than now the numbers stayed the same and just the symbol changed.

@defanual But are they really pushing reliable technology? The sound desk certainly wasn't!

In today's society, I'm not so sure that people would continue to play a game when there is a focus on actual faith - it's become something that instantly shuts people down. This means, to me, that the only way a game can comment is through some level of parody.

As I Christian gamer, I cower in embarrassment at this article. There are moments in games where echoes of faith can be seen - yet I am surrounded by people who believe that games can not be anything other than soul devastating things with no emotional benefit unless they are so heavy on 'Bible Bashing' that they scare people away more than encourage them to think. I find that most of the moments that make me step back and think are from games that parody the Christian faith. While the religious aspects of Final Fantasy X were frowned upon by my Christian parents, I was deeply moved Operation Mi'ihen went badly wrong. The betrayal of beliefs set them up for a fall but the totality of the defeat seriously made you sit back and consider their plight. Later in the game when the whole role of a summoner is made clear the game speaks again. To sit back and go along with things because that's what happens is something that speaks to us all. Should we follow the beliefs of our families or search out our own answers? So, yes, I do believe that games can reflect a position of morality and give points to consider when regarding faith. Yet is it possible for a game to do this while referencing an actual religion? I don't believe so. As an actor I have learnt that many more lessons are taught when there is enough distance between the audience and the challenge.
