it's really a matter of how crazy you like your games. ff4 obviously isn't going to be as intense due to battles happening on only one screen. twewy is still fantastic though. i loved the story and characters and pretty much everything about it. i was put off by it at first because the battles happen on both screens at once, the art style is super anime like, and i thought that the story wouldn't be that good because it's set in one place the whole time. i was definitely wrong. i think you should probably go with twewy just for the fact that it's an original title. both games are great though. :]
i've played a ton of them but right now i'm stuck on Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker. i can't get enough of it. it's kinda like pokemon only better because it's dragon quest stuff. plus the writing is almost flawless just like all the DQ games. there's a lot of humor in it and it's not stupid. if you want to spend hours and hours on your ds, i'd suggest picking that one up. there's a lot of good stuff out there though. FFXII RW is amazing, FFCC ROF is good, LoZ PH is great, Ultimate Mortal Kombat is hilarious, MPH is super fun, COD 4 is short but kinda fun, Dementium The Ward is really fun, Super Mario 64 is awesome, Castlevania is pretty good, Final Fantasy III is good but kinda tough on the last dungeon(s), there's more but i feel like i've listed enough. haha! well, i hope this helped. :]
i'm a pretty huge fan of most of square's work. enix did have some good stuff before the merger as well though like star ocean and dragon quest. i would like to start seeing more original titles from square because even i think the remakes are getting a little ridiculous now. i posted for the longest time that i'd like to see a remake of the chrono games but i'm satisfyed just playing them on the older systems. there's not really too much i'd like to add to them. i will get FFIV though because i never actually played through it completely. i played for about one hour and forgot about it til i saw that they're bringing it to DS. as for the DQ games, i'm gonna wait for DQIX. i hope they'll actually get it done and bring it to us soon. oh, and i'd really love to get my hands on Soma Bringer. it's not by square but it looks amazing! it seriously needs a US ship date. i'm also excited about the new KH. :]
i can't wait for DQIX. i think it's stupid that they changed it back from real time to turn based just because they felt it was too much of a departure. i really want them to change it back. it would be amazing to play a game like that in real time. i loved DQVIII but i do think it would have been better if it was real time. i'll still buy and play DQIX even if it's turn based but i'll always wish it wasn't. haha! petition anyone? haha!
they need to change the battle system in DQIX back to actionRPG style. i was so bummed when i found out they changed it back to turn based. i mean, i don't mind it too much but i was really looking forward to some real time battles in the single player. i don't get to play with other people that much so it's really important to me. i've been wanting this game since it was first rumored. i guess i can wait another few days and pick up FF:CC:ROF. i hope KH and FFIV are coming soon. hopefully this year anyways.
I agree! FFVIII was the best in the main series. they do need to remake Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross though! ahhh! that would be soooo amazing! those two are my favorites in all of gaming. i like all sorts of games too, but these ones just stand out above all the rest.
I agree with the guys who said FF3. The game is really easy for the most part but some of the bosses are just plain out ridiculous! Plus they get two turns! Bastards! I haven't played Etrian Odyssey yet but I might have to. I do love challenges.
I agree for the most part. I would just like to see Chrono Cross on the DS. It didn't really get the attention it deserved. It's truly an amazing game. Also, the people at Nintendo have been remaking older games that were originally Nintendo licensed games. It would be nice if they changed it every once in a while to Square games that were on Playstation. Square is doing new games for DS so I don't see a problem with why it would be hard for them. I'm sure it would sell too because almost everyone who played it loved it. The problem is, not that many people played it. Or nobody around where I live played it. Chrono Cross is still better than almost every new RPG out there. I can't name any that are better. A new Chrono game would be nice too. I would love if they made a new one. I just want a Chrono game on the DS.
