Greetings fellow gamers! I wanted to stop by to let everyone know about the Midnight Launch party that is taking place at the Microsoft Store in the Houston Galleria Mall for Ghost Recon Future Soldier. At the Microsoft Store, you will not be simply waiting around for 2 hours in order to receive your game. Our launch party will include:

· Giveaways to the first 100 attendees

· Early game play (start playing the game at 10:00!)

· Food and drinks

· Prizes

If you are in the Houston area, there's no other place you should be on May 21st other than the Microsoft Store. We hope to see y'all there! GLHF!

I'm having a hard time sorting this out. Now, I understand the coding between NTSC-U/NTSC-J/PAL, but people are telling me that beyond those 3 regions Xbox games are further coded among actual countries. So even if I buy an Xbox console in the US and take it to Mexico and buy an Xbox game there, EVEN THOUGH they are both NTSC region, they aren't the same "Country Code", so they will not work. Now, I thought that games were only coded by the NTSC-U/NTSC-J/PAL REGIONS, so am I wrong and are the games coded by country as well?? Thanks for clearing this up.

I live in europe so have had WKC2 for a while, I never played the first game on release so played that first when getting the second. It is absolutely essential that you play it before the second one. Aside from the fact you wont know what the hell is going on, when you play the remastered version there is no gap between the games, you finish the first and it places you straight into the second with your characters and equipment as they were when you finished the firstgame. The overlap between them is superb, you get the end sequence of the first game and then the start of the second, you are not even given ending credits between them. I believe every copy of WKC2 comes with the remastered first game, as you need to be a high level to start the second. I think level 35 is the starting point for the second game, so you have to finish the first to have any chance of surviving. BibiMaghoo

Thanks for the info. I'm thinking since they're literally giving two games for the price of one, there's no reason why I shouldn't play it, especially since the 'remastered' first on supposedly fixed the combat bugs. Bibi, I heard they fixed the combat from the first one to basically play like the upgraded second one now. Is that true? Did the combat feel like it was identical when you played through both games?

So I noticed White Knight Chronicles II is coming out next week, and I've pretty much decided i'm gonna go ahead and get it because I NEED an RPG to hold me over until Skyrim finally releases. It's going to come with a 'remastered' version of the original game, and for those of you who played the first, I was wondering if this original game is actually worth playing before getting into the sequel?

So, I'm running Windows 7 64-bit on my Macbook Pro. I finally decided to grab a copy of Civ V. Installed it last night, everything's cool. Then when I start up the game, it asks me whether to run it in DirectX 9 or DirectX 10/11 (recommended). When I try to run it in 10/11, the intro video goes, and then after that I get a black screen and it freezes. I bring up the task manager, and it shows Civis still running, but that the actual DirectX11 isn't responding. Switched the settings in the Civ file so that it doesn't run the intro vid, but that didn't change anything. Ran it in 9, and it works. Any idea how to fix this so I can play in 11? And yes, I do have 11 installed. Thanks in advance! I'm running Windows 7, i5 processor @2.53 GHz, GeForce 330m, and 4 GB RAM. Meets minimum reqs.

Not sure if this goes here...

I've been having problems the past week connecting my PS3 to my wireless internet. Sony gave me a bunch of ports that I should call Linksys with and have them open the ports up. I call Linksys, and they said that tech support for my router has expired (had it for about 2+ years), and that I'll have to pay $30 for a 14-day tech-help fee or $40 for a 6-month tech-help fee if i want my ports opened. Is there any other way to manually open up ports on my router, or do I basically have to fork over the money?? (sorry, I'm a tech newb) Thanks in advance.

I'm using wireless. Last night I did a hard reset, for about 5 minutes, but nothing changed. So I actually unplugged my modem and router for almost 3-4 hours while I went to class, i came back and plug em back in, and it's suddenly connecting.... but now the internet on the PS3 is sloooow like a mofo. Only getting 3.3 Mbps. Wake up today and turn it on, hoping it'll be back to normal.... and it's back to not connecting to PSN. *sigh* Guess it's time to call Sony.....

So I was playing Killzone 3 online after the midnight-release yesterday, and everything was going fine. Eventually I go to sleep. The next day in the afternoon I get back on to play some multiplayer, and suddenly I can't connect to the Playstation Network. I get this error: "80710B23". I go to Network Settings and do a connection test, and it successfully obtains my IP address and my Internet Connection checks out, but when it gets to the Playstation Network, it fails. I just recently bought my PS3, so I'm not sure if this is a common problem on the system or not, and I'm not much of a tech wiz either, to be honest. Can anyone provide any solutions? Thanks in advance!

So I just purchased the game the other day and created my Battle.net account and all that, and when it asked for my actual name I didn't think I'd have it posted all over Battle.net for people to see. Is there any way to choose an option that keeps my real name hidden so that people just see my account name? Oddly enough, even in the age of Facebook, I feel weird about playing with my actual name online. Thanks in advance.
