I'm not a big fan of sticking two hot video cards in a system, so I would say stick with the GTX. Thats a really good card and should serve you well for a.....year. ~grin~

Had to edit this when I noticed Indie was running a CM 690. Hows the case? I have been looking at it, but the hard drive setup looks a little iffy.

I love the case. It has spots for more fans than you'd need and it's predominantly mesh so it has great airflow. The PSU sits on the bottom putting the two fans on the back at the top right behind my heatsink. The harddrive setup is brilliant. You just squeeze these clips and pull it out, and it has space for 6 of them.

With that case I have been running never over 60C with my Q6600 OC'ed to 3.2

Ghz. Ambient temps don't have as much effect with it either.

Basically, given its airflow and the countless innovative features I'm glad I bought it, and it was only $50 from NewEgg w/free shippingwhen I got it (after the mail in rebate.)

I should do advertisements for Cooler Master...

[QUOTE="Luminouslight"]I think the GT's faster, but your 450W supply needs to be pretty good, can't be cheapy.Luminouslight

I have a 550w. I know the GT's are faster. I'm just wondering if its worth the 75 dollars extra since I have to pay a stupid restocking fee

I wouldn't, The GTX is good enough for gaming for now. I don't have that much money, so I would probably stick with either a single 8800gt or 8800GTX.

Not quite... have you seen Crysis' benchmarks? 2 8800 GT's cost about the same and give you quite a bit more performance that just one GTX. I sent back the GTX I ordered from NewEgg and I'm glad I did. They didn't charge me a restocking fee because all of my original packing was included and not damaged.

And why do you care so much about CPU?
For most of us it's not the bottleneck. To play it normally you need GTX/Ultra or couple
of GT cards which are better optimized for DX10. Anything below, medium settings at best.
I have $350 GTS card and it barely runs it on medium settings. I am sure my
3.2Ghz C2D (even on one core) is not the problem.

That's weird man, I've been playing on my Q6600 OC'ed to 3.2Ghz with 2GB of RAM and a 320MB 8800GTS and on all high settings I ran around 20-35fps. It was still pretty playable when it lagged down to 20 also.
