Yes each player needs his/her own controller if they would like to play the game with you. It's a trivia game where the quicker you buzz in with the right/wrong answer, the more cash you win/lose therefore each player needs their own controller to buzz in with their answer.

Sony is really killing it with their marketing and ad campaign. Any Kevin Buttler commercial is an automatic success imo!

It's been quite some time since I played both games for the first time, but for some reason my memory always went with FF8 as being the better game. After downloading both 8 & 9 I have come to realize that 9 completely blows 8 out of the water. I got to the end of 8 the very first time I played it and could never beat that b**** of a Queen since she radomly selects 3 characters to play the final battle and was way too frustrated to ever bother finishing it. Same thing happened when I downloaded it off the PSN store and play it on my PSP on the way too/from both work and school. Just finished disc 1 of FF9 and I forgot how amazing this game is. Weird ass characters but it just makes more sense as a FF game and is much more straight forward. Drawing for maging in 8 really bugged the crap out of me and was a huge waste of time.

Eventually, yeah. I think enough great games will be made for the Move but I will likely purchase it in the new year.

Play around with your paradigms and which characters you want to be in your current party. I hardly did any side quests and level boosting and I beat the game without too much hassle. Sure some eidolon/boss battles had to be tried a few more times until I figured out the correct strategy, but they were hardly frustrating to the point where I simply put down the game; it was a nice challenge and felt great once I completed them.

All that needs to be done is to Libra everything in order to gather any info needed on your opponents and hack away at them since auto battle will take any weaknesses into consideration. If your HP sucks, then swap characters or simply make sure one of your paradigms is MED/MED/SEN that's all and switch whenever appropriate.

Yes I would. When my original name was already taken, I didn't put enough thought/time into the one I selected because I was simply ancious and really wanted to play my PS3 right away.

[QUOTE="xsynth"]I don't recall what my stats were around that time, but I didn't do any special griding along the way during the first 10 chapters. Just fought enemies as I came across them and I was able to get through it fine with the right paradigms. Make sure you use your accessories for boosts to HP or STR/MAG is you feel you need it.Essian
yeah thats largely what I've been doing... just making sure I'm on the right track here. The only battles I haven't been able to beat first try are the Eidolon battles, but other than that, I haven't been having that many problems.

For the Eidolon battles, use Libra and read any tidbits on the bottom of the scan screen. Often enough, simply buffing/healing your party is enough to fill the stagger meter and win the battle. Actually for most Eidolon battles, the winning formula is just that.

Don't worry you seem to be on the right track as I also won almost every battle on the first try wth the Eidolon battles sometimes taking a few more tries. I also focused all of my CP into one specific role per character and then moved on from there. You will see that Vanille/Hope/Sazh are magic users, while Lightning/Fang/Snow are attackers so build your characters accordingly. The difficulty definitely spikes during the latter portion of the game, but it offers a really nice challenge!

Just the console for me. Purchased myself a 60G fatty a few months after the PS3 came out. I believe my purchase was soon after the second batch of PS3s were being manufactured/shipped/sold worldwide. Still works like a beauty, though the fan does tend to kick in from time to time. Had I been slightly more patient and not treated myself to an early birthday present soon after completing a full year of Uni with the entire summer to myself then yeah I would have definitely purchased a bundled console.

Here in Canada, black friday does not exist, at least not yet. Hearing all these great deals has jealousy churning in my stomach now.:x

Of the ones I have played, GTA IV, followed closely by White Knight Chronicles. Nod to LPB as well, really thought I would have enjoyed that game much more than I actually did. I guess the robust and complex creation tools just turned me off. Modnation Racers, on the other hand, looks totally kick ass and will be an immediate purchase for me once my summer course is over.

Actually WKC is more overyped than overrated now that I think about it. Way too much build up for a run-of-the-mills JRPG which lacked any substance whatsoever. I still think it should have scored at least a 6, but a 5.5 wasn't that far off once I completed the single player campaign. Couldn't be bothered with the online multiplayer content.
