Dude, i dunno wich one of your threads topost in but... So ur basically asking how to place ur 360. Well, none of them are wrong. Both works.

Today, however,I placed my 360 horizontally and Immediately, when powering it up,I got the 3 red rings of death (Ithink I gunna can this piece of crap and neverbother withanything marked "xbox 360" ever again). Though, my 360 has been f-n' around a bit lately so... It was expected.

Had a PS2 for years,played 'everything',and been wondering the same thing :D

Anyway, I think you'd get the best answers bylooking intothe different game categories (here on GS) that you're interested in and research games with the highest scores.

Wether or not a game is charming and inspiring, I think, fully depends on what you have decided is. That is, first convincing impressions is what you then apply to everything else. Very hard to get out of this "box" later,me thinks.

With that said. I can't take games with sugar sweet looking mangamodels/sprites and textures(atelier iris, wild arms 4, ar tonelico etc...) and their nasal voices. Besides, I want rpg's to have lots of places/side roadsto explore and not some forced on linear path you walk from start to end, despite how incredible the story and battlesystem of it may be.

Therefore DQ8 is about the only ps2 game I have ever really lov..liked ;)

I've made several tries, through the years, toplay the first one. But I simply can't, way too boring.

The second game had as decent action but a muchbetter story. Was a sweet experience.

I wouldn't say poor quality. But Enix has always made rpg's that has had very strong linear dungeon crawler feel to them (like Terranigma & Soul Blazer for SNES being the first ones I can remember was released by Enix), wich in my opinion totally sucks.

Squaresoft on the other hand made rpg's wich had the more "explore-the-world-feel". Wich I used to love.

So the marriage between them wasn't the best thing that could ever happen, imo. Especially not since it seems it'salways Enix thatgets to be ontop, and Square just laying under there like a dead fish, when they breed games.

Anyway, I must say they really succeeded with Dragon Quest VIII. But that's it.

I've played both the360 version and the PC ver. with maxed graphic settings. And...

While F.E.A.R.looks good on PC,it looks a bit better on 360. And I'd be damned if it didn't, since it came out a full year later for 360. Anyway, 360 ran it perfectly smooth all the way through. And your PC will definitelyrun it smoothly in all situations.

Better graphics adds more realism, not just in terms of looks but also in gameplay depth. I mean, more or less.

Besides, if it weren't for the graphical improvements, some new categories of games just wouldn't had popped up. For example, how would stealth games like MGS or Splinter Cell look on a 8-bit console! Gameplay variations will be very limited if u just stick to one technology. New graphics make games more immersive.

Anyway, dont you ever get tired of playing games with the same old graphics over and over?!

In a not very far away future I for one hope to see health bars in games (shooters) disappear and be replaced by real handicaps like getting your legs shot off so you can't walk or fingers blown off so you can't shoot withthat specific hand etc... But for that we need the graphic enginesto improve even more ;)

Again, I am not a sucker for things to look extraordinary beautiful, but I do love the realismgood graphics adds tothe gameplay part.
