Nintendo opted against next gen graphics so they could make one of the crappiest consoles of all time with the pretext that its an 'advancement in play' wherein actuality its an advancement of nothing. Its just 'different', nothing more.

The Wii has all the complexity of a damn Fisher Price toy and next to nothing worth buying for it.

Make no mistake, the Wii is the best selling console this gen but it is EVERY BIT as crappy as the gamecube was.

The Wii doesn't need anything. Nintendo has proven that they can make a jack leg console with little in the way of quality, sell it for a high profit while still being relatively cheap price wise, and make a killing.

Having an great library of games isn't even necessary, the Wii proves it again and again. It's quite astonishing how well crap can do with the right marketing.

The last must own Nintendo console was the N64.

Other than the Gamecube I agree that the Wii's library in comparable time frames to any of those consoles is vastly inferior.

I appreciate Nintendo's effort in expanding the market...I suppose...but that has come at the expense of having a plethora of quality titles. The Wii definately has the largest ratio of shovelware to good titles that I can think of, and by far the lowest average scoring games this generation.

The Wii has its place for sure, but barring being handed a free packaged Wii bundled with Twilight Princess and SSBB, I personally would never consider owning it.

I would give up gaming. The Wii is a HOOOORRRRIBBBLEE console with nothing but price point going for it. Its games are all shovelware, except TP which I can get on Gamecube anyway, sans the crappy wiimote controls.

I despise Nintendo this generation. Absolutely.

 I loved SNES, I liked N64 a lot, I disliked GC completely and I hate the Wii with all my heart.
