@Sunny They won't truly take advantage of DX10 for at least a year and probably two. DX9 was the same way.

I've been playing video games since I got my first C64 and HL1 is still my favorite game of all time. No game, before or since, has sucked me in and made me believe, even if only for a short time, that I was fighting for my life the way HL1 did . . . except perhaps for HL2.

@dryden You are right, but they're trying to help people that don't know any better strike a decent balance between graphics and gameplay. But the fact is, Gamespot is not a hardware site, and they're whole system is flawed. They need to be using several different machines, and show the fps drop/gain between them using different settings/resolutions.
