The Conduit shows the real limitations of the Wii. And defending a 6.5 is silly. That's alow score. Are we now going to keep defending all games that get 5.5 next?

This game was so massively hyped as a Wii game that would rival Xbox 360 and PS3 games in terms of visuals. In fact, out of the entire Wii library, The Conduit was mentioned the most as proof of the visual power of the Wii system.

Look at the video and remember that oftentimes the final game doesn't meet the high bar shown in early pics. Hopefully this decrease those Wii threads that say "56k Warning". The only warning you need is that the Wii cannot rival Xbox 360 and PS3 games in visuals.

Since when was Team Ninja so beloved by sheep? I remember them laughing at Team Ninja for making vacuous, all-looks-no-substance games. Ninja Gaiden was called a button-masher. So now they are seen as a breath of fresh air. This is funny to me to see a change of attitude.

There are many good versions of this. In fact, I found them all good.

Why do people prefer to play with strangers instead of friends? I guess you guys have no friends.

SerpentX541

Mario Kart and SSBB have online, so why can't this?

Sorry, but your friends probably don't play seriously. They probably play for laughs. That might be fun for two weekends but only goes so far.

Some of the best people to play are strangers, because they are competitive. Nintendo could've let us have both, but they left off online.

That quote from Miyamoto is one of the funniest things I've read recently. How in the world does this game take so much processing power?

Didnt Nintendo reveal Wii Motion+, Wii Resort, and a lot of other games early that were delayed for almost 1-2 years?
What is he talking about waiting for it to be completed before unveiling? Nintendo is not known to deliver things in a timely fashion either.

Developers will like Natal and Sotal more. It does everything better than Wii motion controls.

Even without the motion controls, developers have taken a better liking to Xbox 360 and PS3. The amount of higher quality games is the evidence. Now add motion-controls on top of that, and this is going to be a big uphill struggle for Nintendo at this point.

I'll give Nintendo credit for taking the first risks and steps with the motion control, but their system is limited in what it can do. MS and Sony are fortunate they can take the same concept and improve on it.

The only thing that might kill Natal is the rumored price of $200. I reallh hope that isn't true, because that is an idiotic business decision to price it that high. (although the HD-DVD drive was also that price)

Releasing so late into the console's lifespan is a little dangerous (same goes for Natal)

But there is a possibility that it will be compatible with the future next-gen consoles. I mean,I don't see MS and Sony forcing you to abandon your Gamertag, Trophies and Achievement points, as well as your digital purchases. Unlike past consoles where it was a brand new start every time, this next migration will let you bring over a lot of stuff. And I have a feeling Natal and Sony's motion thing will be among those.

Unlike the Wii, Natal and Sotal can recognize voice and images, as well as being much more accurate. (Natal has no controller but could easily solve that.)

HD graphics (the archery on Sony looked way better and more fun than on Wii Resort), superior online (imagine how you can communicate with friends online now - you see them and interact), and having the lion's share of developer support (don't deny it) - this is a humongous breakthrough for Sony and MS if done right.

If not done right, it would be seen as a harmless side experiment. I'm sure Sony and MS will go home and cry into their bags of billions of dollars. Nintendo needs their motion to succeed more than Sony and MS, because it's the main feature of their system.

This is a win-win situation for Sony and MS. This is now a nail-biting situation for Nintendo.
