I recently picked up a few used PS2 games I'd missed while they were still in-store.

Anyway, 1 of the them is in terrible condition with alot of scratches.

Previously I've used a kit that required you place a little solution on an area of the disk and rub the scratches out for a good 3-5 minutes. The problem with that method, though, was it not only took alot of time and stamina. It also generated more heat from the friction than I could stand.
Admittedly, it did work quite well despite its many downsides.

So I was wondering, what kind of Device/Hardware can I use to fix the surface based on anyone's experiences.

I kinda see what your saying. As for parts that are becoming obsolete completly but not impossible to find, I would say a pentium D with a 6800gt and 2gigs ddr ram. As for what it can accomplish, It can max most games in 2006(some depending on resolution) and can play majority of games last year on medium with some stuff on high.mastershake575
Yes! Thank You, that was the exact kind of answer i was looking for.

That still isn't the bottom of what you can still purchase that hasn't been discontinued is it. Furthermore that isn't what said "custom-built $600 PC" can run at max settings without issue.

I really wasn't asking if the lowest end pc on the market could handle the highest end game currently out.

I'm simply asking what the lowest end pc money could currently buy be able to run.

Edit: Since its obviously too difficult to comprehend my question for whatever reason.

WHAT IS THE ****TIEST COMPUTER SOMEONE CAN ASSEMBLE IN THIS DAY AND AGE (with parts only still being sold) AND WHAT IS IT CAPABLE OF RUNNING ON MAX SETTINGS WITHOUT COMPLICATION?????

hows -that- for blunt.

During Flight Sim X i was trying the Air Craft Carrier Mission and out of nowhere the Y Axis decided to reverse itself (as in pushing the stick up made the plane fly downwards instead of upwards) i'm unsure if there is a keyboard shortcut i may have pressed which switched the controls on me or not.

Under the control panel the Y Axis isn't reveresed and won't reverse when checking the option to do so, however i can't see that being the issue. i also phoned Saitek and they proved no help what-so-ever and calimed to "not support the software"

when i started flight sim the first time it automatically knew what controller i was using and configured the controls accordingly and so i have not fiddled with any profiles.

i don't know where to go from here so any help would be appreciated.

Starcraft aged extremely well, theres still a massive fanbase, billions of custom maps to mess with (really interesting things when you delve into Use Map Settings) and its just plain fun.

that and god knows how long till SC2 ever comes out. we're talking about blizzard here and their biggest IP (arguable due to WoW, but nothing has sustained this much momentum in history)

most importantly, you can't lose when its 20 bucks. just make sure you to make some friends, its a blast.

so i just bought a Saitek X52 for my friend for christmas and i don't know what games he could even get for it. he'll obviously go out and grab the newest flight sim but do thse even have air combat? and if so do they even do it well. i want to get him an air combat game he can mess around with but take advantage of the X52.

thanks in advance.
