Good lord! I love my Xbox One, but Playstation killed this press conference. I thought that I was excited after the Ubisoft conference today; this is just ridiculous Sony; well done! I may just be buying that PS4 this year...
I love this game, and I appreciate the effort, but shouldn't the first piece to being the most realistic be to have the licenses you don't possess to make it as authentic as possible.
I am beyond excited about this! I know that he was included in 2k14, but I'm really looking forward to a WCW specific story or mode! Some sort of integration; Don't let me down 2K!!!
@mi_hung_lo: Barry sanders was on the cover of two EA games and was compensated well for it because he's in the 1% of these individuals who people remember and actually deserve it. That's legit compensation for using a likeness. Every legend ea has used specifically over the last five years have been compensated, but don't tell me that random player #5 that looks just like random player #37 on a different team is using someone's likeness. The likeness is within the gamers mind and ability to even recall who those people are. We mostly don't!!! Specific characters in game or on cover art; yes pay them but anything short of that is just a bunch of no named individuals trying to sue for being no named individuals in a game. Again; be glad someone remembers you and wants to pay homage to something you were a part of; stop punishing the gamers!
@mkeezay22: don't need my argument to hold any weight because I'm not trying to make an argument. Personally; in all instances in which they are being sued involve situations where we're talking about; player #32; that's light skinned; 6'1", and 220. Last I checked; there were a lot of people in this world, so what makes it their likeness? It's the school; jersey; etc that EA is/has paid for. ...and understand; I'm not an EA fan like that. I don't buy things that I don't like so I can care less if they're making billions; just tired of people grabbing for every penny when they can't do anything else. Need you to admit that most of these people are irrelevant; tell me off the top of your head who the 3rd string offensive lineman was off the 85 bears, and I'll tell you that you only know that person because you're that person. LOL
Just need people to relax and go make some money in this capitalistic society; instead of trying to make money off B.S. Lawsuits!
Is anyone other than me tired of these athletes talking about "likeness"? These idiots sued EA for $60 million and all received like $4000 on average. They should be glad that someone wants to remember their azzes. Retired players wanting money because they blew their career earnings; college athletes wanting money when 99% of them are irrelevant. Get over yourselves and allow us gamers to attempt to remember you for being a part of something bigger than your egos; your teams! Allow yourselves to remember a time when you actually mattered. Besides; if anyone should be getting royalties; its GOD since we're all made in his likeness! Shut up or pay up you egotistical b*stards...
@Kishobran: "Fallout 4 was hyped to Oblivion and back..."; I don't know if that play on words was intentional or not, but well played my friend!!! Even if it wasn't an intentional shot at Bethesda; you should take credit for doing it on purpose because that was pure genius!!!
