While I understand the problem, It's a two sided coin. Kikki Killwolf and Bonnie Ross from 343 industries or whatever the fk their name is were complaining about sexism, yet some of the very first words out of the Spartan Sarah Palmers mouth from Spartan Ops was "Ladies and OTHER Spartans" as if the men weren't even considered being called gentlemen or to take a shot at men since there is now a female commanding officer, THAT is sexist, but to have only male heroes in an industry where the consumer is mostly male, so the companies can get the most money for their work is not sexist, that's just smart business practice. There are no female heroes because the majority of gamers are male, not because the industry is sexist. If more women would start playing video games (alot do now, but are still minority), then there probably would not be a problem making more Female heroes, but the simple fact is they want the majority to be able to relate with the main character, which the scope currently is mostly men. It's really not that complicated.....
