P.S. I hope people with influnce read some of these. And for those that couldnt bear games with ads the devs could sell the ad version cheaper and the uppities who say "I would rather pay full price than have that **** in my game" can put their money where their mouths are and pay for an ad free version
Movie Piracy has been going on since the cinema started, and as sugested, in game(/movie) advertising is the saviour. if films like james bond can spend millions of dollars on production and still come out ahead despite piracy being many times easier than it is for games I think they have a winning formula and real product advertising wouldnt be that detracting from the experience, in fact it could help it. If you were playing game set in new and intead of intrusive billboards saying "Burger Land" you had a genuine burger king or macdonalds billboard it would feel much more real, you would feel like it could be your local city (more so for americans) and would add emotion to home town shooters or a thrill to your generic street racing game
"the game still looks fantastic at even the lowest-quality settings" what? i played the demo on my rather sub-par computer and it looked REALLY!!! bad nothing fantastic if you dont have a good computer (im a console person)
