Too much open world is diluting the stealth imo. It's been said but yeah the ones where you have to 'solve' a puzzle(level) with stealth are the best. Brain power ;)

Much more tense than open world.

there is no "reason" that devs release unfinished products on purpose. They are pressured to release on deadlines based on things like their reputation, market entry, paying out their employees on time and yes the publisher's own standards. Sometimes they have to look after themselves before their fans and when a company has hundreds of people in it, new problems emerging everyday from both design oversights and the community's feedback can cause massive delays in new content so they see it as a priority to fix existing problems before potentially adding new ones. Sometimes the company has really high standards so delay the game until 'its ready'. No company wants to look at something, recognize its not finished and then still release it. If they do they don't last very long.

Yes Diablo 3 is a good example. They delayed it four years from the original release date to 'polish' it, which really hurt Blizzard's reputation for how sub-par the game turned out. Plus the game as you say didn't ship with PvP though its advertised on the back of the box. But those 'false promises' aren't the problem. It's exactly the same as saying "I'll be ready in two minutes." but minutes are months. Sometimes there are better things to do, sometimes something changes your mind, sometimes you made a bad call, sometimes its straight up laziness. Watch what you say you're basically saying why do people lie.

And why does that guy compare a TV to a game? Kevin's got it right. The game is too complex to weed out every single bug because there are so many possibilities. A TV tell's you if its bugged when you turn it on. Software and hardware - not the same. Plus TV's have been remade for like 40 years now by the same companies. They know exactly what you need and then deliver. Games are younger and more subjective. Every player likes different parts of a game. You could say Diablo III is a finished product because of all the polish but you can't polish a turd. There's almost nothing in it for Diablo II fans.

instead of only playing 8.0+ 'high quality' games sometimes it feels like when you play the 6.0 -7.0 games and THEN play 8.0-9.0 games you jizh in your pants because you realize how much better they are. just like how winning the lotto is SOOO much better for a poor person xP

@ lemoi fully agree. i can get real picky with the music haha even though it seems small. sound design and music can really make or break a game for me. placement of great music (or silence) is also a huge part of game identity.
