... Gone gold doesn't mean development is finished. It used to, when the games got pressed and shipped and that was it. Now it just means that they've finished their 1.0 version, which is a big internal milestone, but it's not even the version people will play on release day. Hardly a big milestone?
Dunno, think I'm just bitter because I was curious what this major milestone was and the relevance is entirely internal.
Who the hell cosplays as Hestu? But major props to whoever that person is. They were undoubtedly the only Hestu there that day, and it's a good outfit.
@RSM-HQ: This article has received twice as many comments in the past day as the news article about Pokemon Bank received in the past month. I'd love to see your analytics about how writing about S/M makes more sense because that's what people are interested in.
The people who are still playing S/M and give a crap about it are getting their news elsewhere. They are following the twitter and know when stuff happens immediately. They go to Serebii to get their deep dive information on breeding natures and effective team comp.
They may come here, but they're reading that headline and skipping over it because they already know that news. The rest of us are already done with that game or opted not to buy it, so the news doesn't apply to us. But a Pokemon Go article I'm sure brings in readers who are lapsed players on a regular basis.
@jayskoon93: I think the issue is the unintended consequences of PlayStations Sharing features. A 10 year old could be hopping on to play Ratchet and Clank, and there's a vagina posted by Cousin Vinny (who is 25) on the Now On PlayStation page. Ubisoft wants people to share stuff, so it made it easier to do so. If they didn't deem this as part of the "art" and merely just a "thing" that happened due to code that they left in, then why not?
With that said, obviously I think it should be on Sony to allow this kind of stuff to be filtered out. When you share things, you should be able to designate that the content contains certain things, and the network should already be filtering content out based on game rating. This gives the power to the user as to what kind of content they are ok with seeing, as it should be.
@ThatGamerGuy123: That's not really true. Skyrim Remastered is going to be 64 bit instead of 32. That doesn't sound huge, but it's pretty big. The 32 bit basis of the game meant that you were restricted to only 4 GBs of RAM (as I remember). Upping it to 64 bit allows you to use... Well, right now, not even huge server CLUSTERS have enough memory to max out a 64 bit system.
To those who really love to mod their game, this basically means that, as long as the mods are well designed, you can raise things to a completely new level.
