Really people? Do we honestly all need to flock here in waves just to exclaim this review is biased against Microsoft since it didn't get the score you wanted? It's honestly childish. If all the other reviews are higher then pick whatever one YOU want to listen to. I don't understand why people pretend any of these reviews matter at all. It won't affect another sequel being made and it shouldn't effect your enjoyment of the game.
@kryllic: That's beyond naive, and doesn't even scratch the surface of the narrative problems with MGSV. It's actually convenient Konami did what they did, so people can shift all the blame on them and pretend Kojima didn't let his own lack of focus ruin everything.
Chapter 2 was the absolute least of the game's problems. The game being set to play as inconsequential episodic missions with zero overarching story presence, repetitive and overly open level design, and the same 6 side ops turned into over a hundred for the sake of quantity over quality.
And that's not even mentioning the parasite nonsense, the retcons, and the inconsistencies that now exist in the series timeline.
The only thing Kohima excels at peerlessly is hype. Don't care what he does next - I'll never buy another one of his games. The last two were utter disappointments that I beat once and never touched again.
The gameplay was great the last two, but everything else was a absolute mess, and with stories that literally couldn't be worse if they tried. Felt like I was playing an immature practical joke about half the game.
The cult of Kohima will always line up for his latest circle jerk, but I'm done, and that's coming from a lifetime mgs guy with snake as an avatar...
As good as this game probably is I already don't care, I have Fallout. I really don't see myself caring in a year from now. Sorry guys, don't expect me to be waiting anxiously with my first full a cash for a year and be happy to pay full price.
@hoyholyhoy: MGSV was ruined by incompetent writing by Hideo who has no regard for continuity and Konami not letting them finish the sub plots they already started.
I'll second this. The man doesn't have a range of talent, without Metal Gear running on nostalgia expect to get a game feeling like a fish out of water.
Nice pics, except the leaked videos already prove the console versions will look nothing like this. Bethesda knows people aren't impressed and are working hard to cover for themselves.
Is this game even coming out in a month?! We still know nothing about it and only got the announcement videos. Its weird we have no real information out of the original hype videos.
On a side note, have a ps4 and was thinking about getting the Xbox one by the end of the year. Considering how new Vegas ran on PS3 this may be the right time to snag one.
