@Breyant I'm almost sure that they are releasing this for the 360 as well, but I may be wrong. I know they released Origins on the 360 and it has done really well on that system.

Figures? No thank you.Now if you offered NFC Chip or AR Cards as promos or cheap booster packs, then that will gain my interest. What I really want to see is someone make a Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, or Kaijudo (event though I never played the 1st or last ones) that can scan the card number via the camera and spawn the card on screen, with the GamePad as your side of the field. This would allow those that already have collections or decks to duel worldwide or against the CPU without having to change strategies because the game is not up to date. Also DLC for NFC or AR cards would be appreciated.

She does understand that 90% or more of video games nowadays are still made for a male audience, right? I'm not completely disagreeing with her, but Game Developers are businesses. If their target is for young girls, they will make a game friendly to that demographic. If the game, however, is geared towards 18-35 year old males that use Video Games as their sole hobby, then it is very unlikely that they get out much. Not getting out much means not a lot of social interaction. Lack of social interaction means that they don't really know how to approach females outside their family units. But since they are still guys, they will have that urge to connect with someone of the opposite gender. My advice:Don't try and tackle the whole team, just focus on one small thing that can be changed and work from there. Taking off over sexual-ized women in video games will have the same effect on guys as if we males just started to ban and burn all traces of Twilight, True Blood, Gossip Girl, or any other 'romantic' dramas or comedies. CHAOS.

To a certain extent, I agree with the article. But it all depends on what type of game you are making. The Mario Series needs nothing more than bare bones story, but the Metroid (especially Prime) Series is deeply rooted in great lore. So if you are making or playing Angry Birds, then no big deal. Just add a minute or two of half baked animation to show some hungry green pigs stealing eggs. If however, you are picking up Gears of War, then the previous story idea just won't work.

Surprisingly, everything looks good on paper for this. But will Sony be able to deliver on their promises, or will they pull an Obama?

I guess you can equate what are known as 'hardcore' gamers to Goofy Old Men: They rarely make logical sense. They have strange times for meals (anytime their hands aren't wrapped around a controller). They are too stubborn and set in their ways. Of course there are exceptions, but they are so few and far in between that they are hardly worth mentioning. . .

@ zequex Not bad, but remember that it was sites like this that gave the name "Wii-mote". I bet you have a couple of other suggestions just as good or better.

Come on Gamespot, you can think of something worthwhile for the new controller. Try moving the stats to the new controller. Or a fifth player could either join in or take video/ pictures during the battle. A "Master Hand" mode would allow the player with the new controller to choose what items appeared and when. How are those? By the way, we need to come up with a nickname for this until Nintendo does. "New Controller" just doesn't cut it. I'm thinking "View", any other suggestions?
