If some of you don't know roman numerals, it's 13. This is the problem you encounter with advanced technology, especially when Square-enix takes these games to the max and Microsoft is stuck with the past. Since hd-dvd's FAILED MISERABLY you'll be swapping discs a lot lmao unless you get the ealier release that is (PS3).

play a demo or anything off disc and see if it still freezes. If that is, it's because the mainboard/motherboard is getting too much heat because some of the consoles don't got enough thermal grease on the processor. Just find a tech(thats if it's out of warranty) to do it real quick, no point in wasting $150 for an easy fix.

I have a launched 60gb and when it freezes, it's when I'm trying to connect to someone/something so I know its the network. Take some air-dust removal and blow through the vents, that might fix some of the problem. I take a vaccum once a month to it while it runs, only problem is, it's scratching my shiney plastic.

PS4 is out of question for a while still... when they upgrade it's the hardest task for them to recover finantially.

It's not even worth trying I'm afraid, people have wasted their time doing this, and well I'd rather pay $100 for 5 360 receivers on pc. Reason is due to the fact I've tried using the ps3 controller on pc because my 360 bongle burnt out, I've spent hours trying to get it to work, and no luck. I did get it somewhat working on it, but then configuring it on pinnacle is another story to be told. screw that, 360 controllers your best option.

First things first, the name absolutely SUCKS! It just sounds like a spin off name from xtreme sports stunts. Why don't they just give it a brand new name? XBeast even sounds better, because it will serve it's purpose. I'd name my freakin thing Xile, it doesn't make much sense but neither does the system of microsoft points.

Just judging from Windows 7, it looks like the company has worked out the bigger problems with their programming so you're going to get the satisfaction you want. Better graphics, of course the red ring of death will happen less, many more. Now the thing that gets me is, everyone's demanding blu-ray. I'd like to know why? It might be because the idea of USB 3 was lost and forgotten by the people that were looking forward to it. I learned my lesson enough times lending games out to friends and I'm sure everyone else has, it'll come back scratched so bad to the point you almost can't play it. Sure thumb drives are kind of expensive right now, those kingston 2gb drives they sell at walmart are $5 but who's to say microsoft can't take advantage of this in the future. They sell 64gb now, and it won't be long before they reach 250. This is a gist of what you'd want, they're compact, nintendo worked well with cartridges before graphics grew beyond them. USB 3 transfers 4 GB/sec. That's beyond any disc reader, EVER. Screw blu-ray, you got better demand on the table.

instead of buying games, lets ask for that new basketball hoop you've always wanted, or that new cd from your favorite band. ask for a new bike, or some exercise equipment.

maybe a new pair of shoes, or clothes. how about new headphones, or a stereo? a snow shovel could help some of you who got pounded by the blizzard.

if your parents already bought you video games, don't open the seal on the game and just return the game, get your money back and buy some thing else, like a book.

you can always save your money and be a bit safer from this ugly economy.

think long and hard about this before posting and gamespot, dont deleate this post!!!

wtf is wrong with you? Everyone has their free will to ask for what they want for christmas and you come here like a huge bible thumper suffering from possibly being grounded from video games, shut up

Why does a first-person shooter need a cover system? dirtydishko2
because like every single first person shooter game ever made, the AI is ridiculously unreal. Especially when it comes to rainbow six, there's only one person in real life that can shoot and hit you on their first shot with their back turned.

Okay, the 360 is a very good console with very good looking multiplatform titles, better online service, can upscale games, can customize your own soundtracks, etc. Those are the many good things I have with them.

But on the other hand, there are major problems when it comes to hardware. Thank goodness the PS3 has better reliability, as I have a 60 GB model. Even though I'm about to buy a Pro 360 as well as soon as I get some money saved up, this just proves that Microsoft is careless this gen when it comes to hardware. The only good thing they have done is that now users can install their 360 games into their hard drive, & it will make the discs stop running, load games faster, & run the 360 quieter. Plus they warned us about moving the 360 while a game or DVD is playing. What they need to do next gen is this:

1.) Make their next gen console RROD free (Like their last console).

2.) Make their console more reliable just like Sony did for the PS3, & just like they did for X-Box 1! Plus make it more reliable so that it wouldn't have the same problems that the 360 has now.

The next two doesn't have anything to do with hardware, but these need to be explained anyway:

3.) Have the controller that makes the D-Pad more better & more usable, especially for fighting games.

4.) No more software emulation for backwards compatibility. Do like Sony did for PS2 playing PS1 games & what they did for PS3 playing PS1 & PS2 games on the 20 & 60 GB models by doing it hardware based. They have many billions in their pockets for that, don't they?

That's my only gripes that I have with them, & they seriously need to take those things into account. If they were to follow those things for next gen, then they wouldn't be slapped with so many lawsuits regarding the hardware for their systems. Sony learned their lesson after the PS2, & so can they after this gen.

Well microsoft and sony are pretty good at biting each others ideas... it's amazing people still stick with paying an extra $50 a year for online service. I've been hearing more problems with xbox live than I have with psn lately. I've experienced more lag on xbox live truely, which is pretty odd isn't it? Thats upsetting actually, because once you rid ps3's default disconnection issues on router, the problem entirely goes away.

Xbox d-pad has always been the stupidest when it comes to fighting games, I don't think it will ever change either.

Microsoft has been working the ideal of that mojave project, which leads to biting the mac ideas hardcore and considering making another dvr... that's cool and all but it's more than likely you're gonna get billed monthly for that service. Not cool

The next console by ms will more than likely be backwards compatible to the xbox360 games... and they will most definitely keep 360 games running down the road for a series of years like the ps2 is still currently doing.

My gripes are

Paying $100 for a 60gb hard drive solely for it's console... unlike ps3 which the hdds are compatible for the pc im running right now

No browser?

No Radio?

Can't buy HD Movies? You can only rent!

Whats the real point of paying to play online?

Microsoft points? Thats almost as useless as those freakin disney coins you buy at disney land

Paying for themes?

My thoughts for better convenience

Adding/modifying those features i just mentioned it's missing

An additional button possibly to serve another action because there are games that could use one more

Free xbox live--- there's no reason any more it costs money

Oh but there's one more

Burning down microsoft studio and rebuilding it! They could use the time off to think about the problems they've caused everyone to understand what they can do to fix it
