The point is that you should get what appeals to you, not what GS gives a 9.0+.

I was mainly referring to Metacritic and not GS.

[QUOTE="DJ_Lae"]Buy games half a year after they launch - get three or four titles for the same price. If you're really that strapped for cash, that's what you'd do.

Money isn't the only factor. Time is as well. Time is probably a bigger factor to me than money.

AAA means it is of high quality, it's not a certificate of how much fun you are going to have playing it.

AA means it's a great game, lacks some polish/innovation, but if you are into the genre you will love it. etc etc.

For every AA game in a genre I like, there's an AAA game that beats it out.

It has the best graphics on the Wii. If it was released on PS3 and had the best graphics on PS3, it would get similar scores.

I'm sick of all the fanboys (mostly sheep) constantly bark on about how AAA games are not the only games that matter and that some A and AA games are just as good as AAA games.

Bull

Gaming is both an expensive and time-consuming hobby. I work long hours for little pay. I simply do not have the time or the money to play anything but the cream of the crop.

I only have time/cash for ONE game every two months or so. Why would I waste that time/cash on a Monster Hunter Tri or a Just Cause 2 when I could spend it on a Mass Effect 2, God of War III or Super Mario Galaxy 2?

So far, ME2 and GoWIII are the ONLY games I've bought this year. With SMG2 coming out in 2 days, I'll have bought a total of 3 games by late May.

So enough with your whining about "hidden gems." We don't all have a limitless supply of time and money.

Probably Congo: "The Republic of Congo in central Africa is leading the way being the Poorest Country today with a GDP-per Capita of $300.00" I mean...the entire nation only makes $300 a year. The entire nation would have to come together to buy a PSP Go, or a Wii.

You don't know what per capita means.

I know that Mikami is the man. Which is why I was shocked when I heard this game was being made Platinum. I honestly didn't believe it at first. I thought there must've been two games similar to each other. Even the best developers put put a piece of crap every once in a while, I guess.

And the Tojo thing was a joke. Albeit one in poor taste.

I love Japanese games. My two favorite games of all-time are RE4 and SMG.

[QUOTE="Dick_Derringer"]The game is about how the Russians attack the San Francisco with a satellite laser and the US forces have 8 hours to defeat the Russians before they fire again. Of course you wouldn't know it was the US and Russia since everyone uses mechs that are all Japanesy. Slashkice

The game takes place on a space colony orbiting Earth. And we already knew it was the U.S. vs Russia. Nice try.

You don't have to believe me now. But you will when more gameplay videos surface. It was at Fleicshman Field Research in San Francisco on Dec 10, 2009. I got paid $100 and so did about five other guys. The average score at the end of the focus group was a 4/10.

There's also a boost mechanic that let's you propel forward at high speed. Helps for getting from cover to cover. Basically this game is gonna disappoint shooter fans. Since it's a crappy generic shooter. And it's gonna disappoint Platinum fans. Since it's a crappy generic shooter.

Ok, yeah man, I absolutely believe you and I'll take your word for it.jethrovegas

SPOILER ALERT!!!

The game is about how the Russians attack the San Francisco with a satellite laser and the US forces have 8 hours to defeat the Russians before they fire again. Of course you wouldn't know it was the US and Russia since everyone uses mechs that are all Japanesy. There's a level where you fight a gigantic robot foot (I assume it's part of a larger robot but you can only see the foot) by waiting for him to pick his foot up and shooting his sole. There's a generic ass train level. The voice acting is the worst I have EVER heard in a video game. Your commander sounds like a constipated Japanese guy trying to do an American accent. There's a gun similar to the Mortar in Gears 2. It's the only good thing in the game.
