When I think of a terrifying scenario, I think:
Being kidnapped without having visual of the captor, suspiciously passing out as soon as the darkness of a rugged linen bag covers your face. Waking up in a damp cellar in the complete pitch black, not knowing if you were blind or surrounded by the consuming, absolute, absence of light.
Knowing nothing but the slippery tile underneath your feet and a gut-wrenching stench that nearly makes you gag, and in the midst of the silence, you begin to hear a soft whisper from the distance. Confused and skitzophrenic mutterings of someone who isn't there, and in another distance, the crying of a madman, and in another, the laughter of a group of children.
I dunno, I think that would be good in a movie or something. A real mind trip. (thats what would scare me at least)
