I'm glad they added a single player mode though, because this would be a waste even if it's free. My only concern is this, they took the time to put in single player, but will the 3DS version fit the 3DS' full top screen or will it be the little sqaure with a black box like DS games one the 3DS.

I've been thinking about this. The 3DS is a pretty powerful console, leaps and bounds over the DS. Think about it, 3DS is supposedly as powerful as the Gamecube, and we're already seeing it pump out some great looking games. This could be the closest we could get to a full 3D home console like Pokemon that everybody seems to want since the Gamecube days. I mean, we got coliseum on the Gamecube and I'm sure Nintendo could pull that off or something closer to that, but in the style of the main line of pokemon games. Remember, the 3DS is the most power the mainline Pokemon series has every dealt with. I think Black and White were just a sample of what could happen, like Nintendo saying 'We sqeezed this last bit out of the DS, threw in more polygonal graphics, imagine what 3DS could do'.

Black and White seemed to be the first step into the change and evolution that gamers were looking for with Pokemonm some said the most change it's seen in years but still not enough.

What I'm thinking is(and you probably won't like my ideas)

  • Full 3D battle scenes with the pokemon rendered in full 3D(See the free Pokedex)
  • Online where you can travel with a friend as you conquer the world of Pokemon
  • Some sort of AR intergration. Imagine getting AR cards of certain items and pokemon which would give your pokemon special abilities
  • Gyro's could be used to combine some kind of Pokemon Snap elements
  • SD card, I'm sure it can be used foor something
  • Street pass has a plethora of posibilities

What are your ideas for Pokemon on 3DS?

The adds weren't creepy exactly, they were creepy in a funny way.

And yes, they are trying more and more to nix the appeal to kids in food commericials because America is trying to combat the obesity problem. I think they did the same with Cap'n Cruch, they didn't nix him, or the cereal but I don't think it can be advertised anymore due to the fact tha the cereal has high sugar content and is meant to appeal to children.

I for one agree with this.

  1. Does the 3D take time to get used to? Is it supposed to pop out or just be a window effect? Because I'm getting window effect, like depth with a few things in Ocarina of Time catch my eye as if they were right in front of me. And yes I have the slider alway up and I can see 3D perfectly, this has been confirmed before i got the 3DS. As the days have passed it's gotten better, first day me head hurt slightly when playing, 2nd day all I was getting is a burning sensation in my eyes, but now it seems to kick in instantly.
  2. Is the top supposed to be flimsy? I mean It's a little annoying, not to the point where I think I should take it back or that it's shutting close with the slightest move. It's just that it's annoying, I have big fingers/hands and when I tap the shoulder buttons, it feels a little shifty.

Fun? Mario Kart has always been fun, I've been playing it since the 64 and owned every installment except for the GBA one and Double Dash. I don't expect much out of Mario Kart, yet I buy it all the time. These seem to add something everytime that seems like a minor hook, but ends up being pretty fun.

[QUOTE="Youles"][QUOTE="sergemyster8"]Yea you log in and download your games from your download list. Nothing else. I feel for you, I got the YLOD 2 weeks ago :(. I did the hairdryer trick, it fixed it and it's still working now a week after.sergemyster8
Hairdryer trick? :)

Blow a hairdryer through the back vent for about 20 min and then let it cool. It worked for a week but my ps3 just got the YLOD again today. At least I got all my saved data off and I;m sending it to Sony now.

Don't have a blow dryer, but thanks for the suggestion. I don't really care for my saves either, guess I'll just slowly start back over. Many of my old games I didn't play anymore anyway.

[QUOTE="Awesome-Possum"]Or you could just take your hard drive out with a screwdriver and put it back in the new one and PRESTO EVERYTHING LIKE IT WAS!!!!

No, I heard that it ask you to format the hard drive. I plan on taking the hard drive out and just putting the broken PS3 in the closet so that I can have a back-up.

And I know my PS3 is dead, it's 4 years old and I'm not trying to get it fixed, I'm just going to buy a new one. But my question is, that when I buy a new one how to I transfer my games to my new PS3? Do I just log in and redownload the games, or is it a process like proving that the games I got from PSN are my games? Or am I just screwed?

[QUOTE="DazedDarkness"][QUOTE="wiifan001"]There's too many buttons on the Wii U controller; I don't like that :(wiifan001
How is there too many buttons? It has about the same amount as the Classic controller pro and the Gamecube controller 2 sticks ABXY D Pad Two Shoulder buttons two triggers You can count the gamecube's Z buttons 1 shoulder button, but that makes it one less button that what the Gamecube controller had. And just as many as the Xbox 360's or Sony's traditional controller. And power and home buttons do not count, because they serve no purpose in gameplay.

The gamecube controller had too many buttons, and I don't have a cIassic controller. Also, doesn't the xbox 360 controller have this weird button on the analog sticks as well? You push down on the analog sticks and lo and behold: secret buttons :o It leads to wonder if some games will be way too complex if they intend to use all those buttons plus the microphone and motion sensors and the touch screen all at once @__@ And it also makes me wonder if there are these odd buttons on the analog sticks for the Wii U controller.

Don't take this as an insult... but you are weird O_o
