@doc-brown: Let me reiterate and be clear. I'm not annoyed at you. You're the type of player who would enjoy Birthright/Revelations more due to your personal experiences, game preferences, and exposure to past Fire Emblem titles (which I'm betting on 'none except Awakening', at most). And that's perfectly okay.

I'm mad at the fact that someone LIKE you was put to review Conquest, when you are clearly NOT Conquest's targeted audience. It's perfectly fine to stress how much harder it is and how more limited your resources are, lets people know what they are getting into. But a veteran player with prior experience to the series before Awakening, or at least, someone who can get into and understand the mindset of players who have experienced and enjoyed classic FE entries, would be a lot more fitting to review this, because it'll be the experienced players who want a challenge that will be the ones to get Conquest.

@feleas I'll fully admit I am not 100% sure because I've been avoiding gameplay footage so I can experience it fully myself, so I'm not sure exactly what the scouting missions entail. As far as I'm aware, however, they're like the equivalent of Risen skirmishes in Awakening, which provided the player with 1. extra EXP 2. bonus items 3. support grind boosts (from the sparkly points to simply pairing your units up/placing them near each other as you fight).

They should provide no extra dialogue or scenes you cannot achieve through normal gameplay, it's not like it's locking you out of support or unique lines of dialogue (that'll be removing the petting, LOL. There were some pretty explicit lines in the JP version and I am 100% sure they opted to merely not include them for NA). If this is not true, I'll gladly take back my assumption, but this should be the case AFAIK. If you really want an easier time and support with the Nohr characters, play Revelation since it has the roster too (or a grand majority, at least). Conquest was specifically tailored AND marketed (in JP at least) towards Fire Emblem veterans. As someone has said, it's like Peter missed 100% the point of Conquest. Kind of like taking a Pokemon player and listen to them whine about the real-time combat in Dark Souls. Why are you even playing that when it's clearly geared towards a different sort of audience?

Stunning. It's like the entire point of Conquest flew right past over your head.

"Birthright and Revelations give you the chance to go on scouting missions, where you can give the plot a break to train and get to know your soldiers on a more personal level. No such option exists in Conquest."

No SHIT, those are grind stages for additional EXP/support. Conquest doesn't have them precisely because it's supposed to be harder. "I give it a lower score because it doesn't cater to my casual needs!" Holy shit, I want scrubs and awakeningbabbies to leave
