Showing off 8K in a 1080p vid is like like showing off Jessica Biel wearing a niqab

@PompousDawson: That example doesn't fly. Star Wars was written by GL as a 9 piece story from the get go, as a result the characters drive/motive didn't come full circle in the first movie. With TLOU it did. Naughty Dog itself is on record saying they canceled early plans for a sequel.

I believe Part II isn't there to "tell the rest of the story". I mean, that's what they'll do but the real reason for this game is most likely a business decision since Microsoft will be rolling out the big guns late next year with Scorpio. Heck even Xbox One S is outselling PS4(pro) at the moment. I truly believe TLOU Part II is a cog in the wheel of Sony's counter offensive.

@Scarshi: Because the story of Joel and Ellie has been told...brilliantly. Joel couldn't lose another girl and chose to rob Ellie of the identity she had been looking for her whole life....to matter, to be someone, in this case a possible savior. The fact the game ended on a lie left the player with the knowledge Joel got the daughter he wanted but their relationship would forever be tainted. It was a happy ending with a twist. It was brilliant.

I don't see how they can go any way but down with this sequel...

@art_of_victory: Could have been, with a new character. The story of Joel and Ellie has been told, masterfully. The only way is down for a sequel. Just the fact there's going to be a sequel lessens the impact of the finale of the first game imo.

@bdrtfm: It's a terrible idea, there really is nowhere for them to go but down.

I don't know man, it just feels like a really bad idea to do a sequel. Sure there's stuff you COULD explore with it, but there's nothing that NEEDS exploring, so why take the risk of tarnishing such a beautiful classic.

Gutwrenched when I heard about the sequel this morning. Sony/Naughty Dog should have known better. It literally is like going out in front of an audience and giving a heart moving speech, having people give you a standing ovation and then when they sit down again say: "wait wait I have another speech, listen to this one !!!"

Lol I'm not even a Gears fan, my buddy got the game and we played up until halfway of Act III last night. I can honestly say this review is utter bullshit. Unless the Acts I haven't seen yet have the characters play jazz music this is easily up there as most enjoyable title of 2016. It really is a blast to play. That's coming from a guy that only played Gears 1 back in the day.
